They never fleshed out the Bronze flight and Chromie is the only one people truly know. One can say that we know Soridormi through her lore but she's not really as active as Chromie.
Xtrawdktra hello hello hello hello yeah yeah yeah OMG you about playing song you play Rihanna ha ha ha ha ha you just let me know G fun baby what did you see in?
im just confused as to why Anachronos hasnt appeared in dragonflight at all so far, its just weird considering hes definitely one of the most important and recognizable bronze dragons aside from chromie and nozdormu
curious thing about all these futures is that not a single one had players in them. we are the anomaly that changes all those futures, and somehow not a single bad guy that can see the future ever notice that massive irregularity
@@stiofarnog if I remember the quote correctly, I think he may have been using the you in the sentence as a general for mortals. Like instead of saying mortals failed to stop us in every time line, he says you failed. The thing about game logic is, we as players are meant to win, we are an outside force that stops the big bads from having their way. Now, that's not to say that our characters aren't written out to be like Goku, "if I let him power up to full power and beat him, then it'll be a lesson for him!"
We've barely known him for an expansion but I absolutely love Iridikron as a villain, the guy is so intimitading, confident, and quite charismatic. Plus, he does have a valid point. Sure the world he envisions might not be ideal for us which is why we stand against him, but his logic makes sense. Who is to say any of the Cosmic Forces are good or bad? All six of them might be equally bad or good depending on who wields them. I think that's a cool concept that I think Blizzard is trying to establish.
That's exactly how the cosmic forces work. They are neither good nor evil as they are something far beyond that. They simply exist and want to spread their influence in their own cosmic war. Every force keeps the others in check.
im gonna be honest, from a living beings perspective, ill take a universe where order one over LITERALLY any of the other fucking parts of the cosmology in warcraft's universe. Like, yea, the titans wanna be your boss, but id take titanic ordering over fucking literal fel demon torture or nonexistence inside the void any fuckin day. The titan's did nothing wrong
@@deeznuttes9340 yeah thats the point i don't really understand they are trying to make. painting certain forces as being grey instead of black/white. from the perspective of a mortal there are objectively better forces u would rather have lording over u. like u said a world where fel or void is in control would mean that mortals would cease to exist at least in the forms we know them as
So far the lands of Death seems pretty idyllic. Wouldn't mind them ruling it all. The light seems a bit... Zeoloty for me. Void seems too tentacley... Order doesn't seem too bad, but it looks like they prefer making things robots and I don't wanna be a robot. Chaos seems to do weird things to your body ie. spikes, glowing bits, making you hunger for power... And life doesn't really seem to be life at all, but rather plant life. Seems like anywhere that power is in abundance, there's a large amount of vegetation and veggie people.
Does Blizzard have someone on set that asks the VO's to stretch out their sentences and take 5 breaths between every syllable? Dear lord every cutscene is a slog to get through
I wonder how much the incarnates know about the current state/history of Azeroth. I feel like it would boil down to who've they'd allied with and their elemental connections ~ like how death wing literally felt the weight/pain of Azeroth, I wonder if iridikron has a similar connection and could sense/feel I dunno ... maybe a huge fucking sword getting stabbed into silithus by a titan who is locked away with the pantheon of order ... who may soon be ready to come back to azeroth ~ or like how more straightforwardly, iridikron knows some allies from the other side (like xalatath/azshara)
@@ShadowFri3nd people are trying to talk about the game not circlejerk about hating blizzard, can you give it a rest for like 5 fucking minutes god damn
Sucks that we have no real player agency in this game. Think one champion would say "Hey, maybe we should stop blindly killing every percieved threat and listen to some their grievences" Like, its gotta be pretty obvious by now that we live in a universe where order won. Im pretty sure Death wasnt originally a machine and Shadowlands has been "Ordered" along with everything else. Even the cosmos has been ordered. Which is kinda cool as we actually havnt seen the real shadowlands or the actual personification of Death. What we heen hanging around in is the Disney version of everything.
yea we're never getting player agency, and tbh mmo's aren't conducive to that kind of player agency, not if you wan't a story that's remotely interesting at all. People always say they want player agency but that should would barely work in a game like wow. Name one mmo that has any real player agency when it comes to the story, go ahead, I'll wait. THe only game that comes to mind is swtor, but swtor fucking sucks donkey ass
Been some time since I've got goosebumps from watching an ingame cinematic, but that "Your lies have grown sweeter. ..honey to hear and poison to taste" hit different.
I am starting about to feel that every of the aspect will be replaced this expansion. Merithra and Ebyssian replaced their predecessors. If Nozdormu will be gone there is option one from past will come back but still it might not happen so Chromie takes over Nozdormu's place. Then there is Alexstrasza and Kalecgos. I think Kalegcos will be the only one who remains alive. It's just a theory.
there are literally no other living red dragonflight characters of note besides alex. the Vulpera is the only other one weve met and is alive and she has nill character
@@ZerFayt I think it’s a good idea. WoW became more a like cartoon where everyone saves the day. In my opinion it would be great to wipe some characters.
Vyranoth and Alexstrasza's conversation gives us some horrifying ideas about what the Titans have done to make things the way they wanted, and I like that they're not the big good force in the warcraft verse anymore.
That's because they aren't necessarily the big good force that they were portrayed to be in the past any more. The Titans represent the aspect of Order in the Warcraft universe and while Order can be a good thing, providing stability, security and routine, having too much of it leads to stagnation, monotony and constraint. You lose freedom, you lose growth, and you lose variation - the things which make us unique and different that define us as individuals. I think someone somewhere defined the Titans' ideal universe, or a universe where Order won, as as a universe where everything was stuck, essentially "frozen" in time, and unchanging. If you think about it, our existence on Azeroth has come into conflict with the Titans' values before in Ulduar when Algalon finds we have deviated too far from the Titans' blueprints. That's because we've grown, for all the good and bad, from what was seeded on Azeroth. Algalon's parameters didn't account for our ability to grow, to choose good and evil, and to have the will to change our fate because that's not what the Titans required in their plan for an ordered Universe. If I remember correctly, the Titans seeded one sentient land-dwelling race on Azeroth: the yaungol, from which tauren and taunka descended. Everything else was either there before (trolls), mutated from them (elves) or Titan constructs (humans, vrykul, mogu, gnomes, dwarves, goblins), were created by wild gods (centaurs, dryads, quilboar, worgen, possibly tuskarr and pandaren) or are aliens (orcs and draenei). Even the Dragon Aspects and their flights were changed into the Titans' image of what they should be.
It's noteworthy that Hearthstone frequently portrays things weeks, months or even years before it arrives in WoW, and they've recently added in several new titans.
man i have a really hard time taking these bad guys seriously, thinking theyre going to stand up to the dragons is one thing but they know full well who the heroes are and what they can do and they still choose to fight them? Kinda ridiculous tbh, the only thing left in the universe that could still be a threat or at least warrant the confidence the primals have in wow are the voidlords and no one else. Im not saying that no one else can be a threat in other ways but these guys are acting like theyre just more powerful when theyre straight up not.
That scene with Alexstraza hits so much different when you remember all those times she's talked about her regret in the titans experimenting on her children, and how much she missed her best friend that she betrayed in the past. Are the writing staff at blizzard under the impression from daytime soap operas that if a character just says something with enough overacting what they state magically becomes true? What's next a tearful confession that Sargeras was in love with Elune all along and that's why he made the legion?
@@mohdimansaifullizan6193 Well I am currently not playing this expansion, but I am still around in WoW. So it is Alex I am referring to... since she has history in the franchise. I am checking in on some of the clips and she seems about the same to me. Since they ruined Sylvanas and Tyrande past couple of years. Just checking in once and awhile if they going to ruin another female character. As for the Ice Queen I wouldn't be able to know if it is a decent character. Reminiscent of the Winter Queen from SL to me. So that's a bit disappointing. Would've liked a more original character... I actually been hoping for some new original male baddie. Instead of the onslaught of ruining female characters and if they weren't getting ruined they were getting used as literal punching bags. (Villans) Which has been way too prevalent the past couple of years..
Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like the dialogue is really slow. I tried to watch it with 1.25x speed. I think overall it worked better. Better flow ^^
I don't know how, but DF's villains tends to be more interesting than SL's ones. Maybe they are betterly lade and teased...idk but i prefer them over the Maw's armies.
Iridikron is legitimately the best villain since Wotlk's Lich King. He is present in every step of the way. I don't even expect we will finish him by the end of this expansion.
@@LordMazilar😂😂😂😂 best villain? How dare you compare this floaty horn pathetic exuse of a villain with the legend himself. You have bottom ditch standards my guy, tho it is expected since blizz writing is bottom level garbage
@@guzonjaguzic9742 The lich king was cool in the WC3 lore, but in Wrath he's an actual j-word (joke). He shows up every single quest, summons in 3 random weak NPC's because "You're not worth my time" then teleports away.
Azshara is in the other side of the portal, we won't defeat Iridikron until 11.1, DF final boss will be the fire primalist dragon I can't remember atm.
That’s not Azshara. That’s literally a void elf model. Aka Xala’that. U can clearly see the ears are pointy upwards and no so long like the night elf ones that go backwards.
The dialog and voice acting this expansion has been EXCELLENT. Props to Vyanoth's voice actress, because holy shit is she amazing! Like, I'm hoping that she makes it through the expansion because she has the makings for a great character.
As the expansion keeps going forward i am losing 'faith' in Alex and her mindset. No doupt plenty of times she lies to herself and to others, its probably high time she gets a wake up call.
Imagine being a reality warping monster and being defeated by a gnome looking ah that yell "we did it!!" Once ur dead. The embarrassment would make me die twice.
Looks more like Azshara as much as I hate to say that. Eh could be either as it’s just a shadow. If Azshara is still with the void she’s an idiot though.
It's Xal'athat 100%, in bfa she leaves the dimension using a portal similar to iridikon's. The eyes seen at the beginning may be his Ancient God form. It is noteworthy that Galakrond's remains were highly coveted, by the plague in Wotlk after trying to dig them up, in dragonflight by the void (who wins) - Let's remember that the undead are the perfect enemy of the void because they do not succumb to mind control. Cataclysm and Dragonflight are very well connected, especially when you look closely at the exploration zones, the eternal dragons, and the cataclysm dungeons in the temple of repose, which show the ending where the void would win.
Can they please give us a flashback of some sort because now I'm starting to see Alexstrasza in a different light now cuz it seems like Razagath and Vyranoth what definitely her closest companions
@@rllove016148 you hate reading? And it's really a side story not necessary to understand what is going on in the expansion it's just for the people who want more info
@@konradkowalski1681 mother fucker i love reading and he's still right. Putting the lore in books when it should be in-game is 100% an issue. Even the lore in game people don't fucking read, just look at dumbasses claiming "they're making the titans evil" as if they were always good or something
One of Xal'atath's unused whisper lines goes as follows: "A powerful dragon could be a powerful tool. Alas, gone are the days of Galakrond." The silhouette in the portal is Xal'atath, I'm 100% certain.
She did say she'd be back. In the Zskera Vaults there's also a book that confirms that there are 5 Old Gods, as most suspected. Xal'atath is most likely the 5th who was sealed within the blade somehow. He also calls her a "Harbinger" which kind of aligns with my theory that Murozond will be the final boss of Dragonflight that will lead us into a Void themed expansion. I'm assuming that Xal'atath will be behind the scenes for most of this. I also wonder if we'll see the return of Azshara anytime soon since she escapes Ny'alotha mentioning something about N'Zoth's masters (Void Lords). Whatever's up next, I'm placing my bets on Fyrakk going completely insane due to the Shadowflame corrupting his mind and possibly Xal'atath's influence as well. I'm guessing we're going to have another Void dragon like Vexiona from BfA except this time, it's Fyrakk.
what would be wierd, becuse Xal´athath is free since Battle for Azeroth, so why would she be in that, it most likely is N´zoth who got ported in to the dagger buy Wrathion, and now is there waiting.
I respect that opinion, although I very much disagree. The incarnates aren't bad by any means, but they're quite typical. I'd say that Iridikron is actually the least interesting of the four, the most unique probably being Razageth (who's sadly already dealt with)
@@plummet3860it's implied my amun thul himself that it would take what ever strength the titans had left to bind sargeras, so I imagine they'll be mia for quite a while
i wonder when alexstrasza's part to play in wrathion's creation, which was also a horrific experiment (as well as the trauma she inflicted on nyxondra before her death), will come into play.
@@gamejedi ??? that is just not true. he's a titan-fused chimera of the uncorrupted parts of various black dragon whelps. what was special about wrathion is that he's uncorrupted to begin with, UNLIKE the rest of his kin. like that's the entire point of his character, that for a while he was the only uncorrupted black dragon on azeroth until ebyssian was invented and sabellian in outland was remembered.
@@Shiruvi It IS true. His egg was corrupt like every other black dragon egg. It was purified using the Titan artifact called the Eye of the Watchers. It's all in the in-game storyline.
@@gamejedi that's the 'titan-fused chimera' part of him that i mentioned. he's not made from a traditional 'egg', he's made from a multitude of dragons combined into one with titan magic. and i'm still struggling to understand what your initial comment has to do with anything for the record. how does that somehow make what alexstrasza allowed to happen to nyxondra any less monstrous?
I feel like people are overlooking Alexstraszas constant hypocrisy; She was forced to reproduce eggs, She had Rheastrasza make Nyxondra reproduce eggs. She doesn't want dragon eggs to be forced to be influenced by the Primalists, She did nothing to even protect the protodragon eggs from being influenced by the titans.
Could be, we know the void is in play. Old gods could return, something from the void we don’t know could come. Honestly use him like guldan. Make him actually be able to let the void enter the twisted nether.
I hope so. I'd rather have a long term battle (like 2 more expansions worth) with Iridikron then to just kill him off. Definitely one of the best characters in awhile.
I love that Iridycron's target isn't the players or the other dragons, he wants to kill the titans, at the end with this lines all is coming together, I love that Blizzard is just retroactive making the history, the titans were shown as the protectors of the earth, of the world, but they never protect the world, they just carve it to be the best possible nest for Azeroth, once Azeroth awakes, the ones who live on it will not be important anymore, the habitants of the world just can't trust the titans blindly, and Irydiron is right, and every titan interaction that has ever existed, they just care about themselfs, I just love how this history is going, the farest we are from the super hyper mega bombastic cosmic war, better for me
@@willt3223 well you talk like you are in charge of the lore right now, we all know that I'm the end of legion the titans and Illidan are worth sargeras, doing what, we don't know, Sargeras have defeated them once, we could do it again, maybe Illidan already kill him, maybe he is good know, we don't know, that is why cliff hangers exist, you talk like the end of every expansion is the absolute end of that theme, like worth the end of bc we'll never the legion again, with the end of wolk the lich king theme is 100% done, we all know that is how things don't work in wow, you talk like you knew something, but you're so Damm stupid that is hilarious how you don't noticed, blizzard are now touching the titans theme, because we'll see them again in the future, is they are "dead" eternal jailers of sargeras like you're saying, then all this Iryducron stuff is absolute useless
I also love that Iridikron never once goes 'pff, mortals what can they do'. He's smart enough to know those mere mortals killed a few Aspects, a Titan, Death, etc. We haven't had that happen yet.
@@SemperRed Huh...now that I think about it, he seems to be the only one that hasn't understimated us as far as I know like all the others before him which is a breath of fresh air lol...too many "WHAT CAN YOU A MERE MORTAL DO TO ME"
Kinda miss Martin Sheen as Nozdormu/Murazond. Of course, after the way we messed with his kid in Karasarang, I wouldn't;t blame him if he said no to the role.
This xpac is overall better than SL but it's still kind of a mess. This game is so lore heavy and they don't have the capacity to tell these stories anymore. The Void, Light, Dragons, Titans. It's such big material that is being told by middle schoolers.
Also the animation style reminds me of like adventure time or my gym partner is a monkey on cartoon network with all the weight of like an avengers story.
I am so pleased with this outcome I can't believe it. We knew we were eventually building to a big war between the cosmic forces, but up until now Dragonflight seemed like its own separate episode with hints of what is to come. With this, we now see that Iridikron is in fact the Gul'dan of this expansion, who will be starting the cosmic war. He's bringing the void to bait the titans, and there's no way the light doesn't end up pulled into this. It really looks like they're making Iridikron a multi-expansion player, along with bringing back names like Xal'atath and Azshara. This is the kind of cool, pulpy, serialized storytelling that the game has desperately needed for so long.
@@Gunz9511 Yeah, there were a couple of new texts added to the game that have the naga talking about their queen returning from beyond the umbral veil and working with "the harbinger"

Iridikron working with Xal'atath is very bad news. Both hold one hell of a grudge & each is smart enough to pull off a plan to get revenge on their own; But together they could be the biggest threat the game has ever seen. neither one will be stupid enough to put them self in a situation where they could be killed so they may be here for the long haul.

In theory, you can't save him because he is destined to fall. If we see murozond, than nozdormu should have become corrupted later. It is a temporal problem, the dragon that travels through time and sees it is condemned to be trapped in a destiny that it cannot avoid because it has tried to avoid its own death. If even nozdormu cannot avoid such a thing with all his knowledges, powers and visions, then neither can the player.
Does anyone know what the context us leading up to the Alexstrasza & Vyranoth cutscene is? What did Alex regret letting happen? I don't remember anything before now about the Titans actively experimenting on proto-drake eggs, it's always just been Tyr's blessing that transformed the Aspects and their Flights.
the "event" Vyranoth is talking about is tyr's creation of the 5 dragonflights by empowering 100 eggs each with the same powers received by the original 5 aspects. Of course, the fact that protodragons would have evolved into the dragonflights anyway, and the fact the Incarnates are themselves forced products of tyr's experimentation is completely lost on Vyranoth here. There has always been an underlying theme in the titan's creations mirroring the real life myths theyre named for. Tyr is not an adventuring righteous hero though, nor is he a keeper of secrets. Tyr is the norse god of war and strategy, not the god of Valor or Secrets. But Odyn was looking to ensure no world shaking status quo faction would go unopposed just as Odin formed valhalla to fight ragnarok. Thorim was a warrior until the iron Vrykul woman he came to love was slain by Loken who was both tricked by Yogg-saron and tricking the other Titan Keepers
Seriously all these primalists talking about how bad the Titans are and I'm thinking who cares.Everyone on earth goes about their business without ever thinking that other species of human that died out .this is just par for the course. I know it may not be easy seeing as how blizzard just pulled them out of their ass. But the pity approach is just to over the top.
They affected the pools of water you see surrounding the eggs, that's what is warping them inside their shell. Titan-Control influenced water changing the whelps.
@@ImThelichking1 See, that's what I thought as well, but if Alex actually regrets that, why is she... still using those very pools? One of the very first quest chains we did was getting the Ruby Life Pools up and running again.
Naa, he's going to be the 3.0 or 3.5 boss, 2.0 is going to be Fyrakk. They explicitly state he's the higher priority since he's actively burning down the Dragon Isles.
Now THAT is how you 'write' a Thanos-like villain, with Iridikron. Give people context, a reason to give a damn lol. A reason to look cool even if you're entirely new to the game/genre itself. Because, it's plain old filmmaking. This is what it should look like, which is to say that it was created in earnest to move some of the plot along. SL should be the textbook for all the ways to not do things. Like, ever. Blue balled by effectively an anticlimactic automaton with a single line of dialogue that doesn't bother being comprehensible as you have to read subtitles for what passes as mumbling gibberish. I guess even the voice actor felt it was horrible as well lol.
Yup. I'm loving Iridikron. He has zero past lore in WoW, but we're getting his motivations, his followers' motivations (Vyanoth is pissed at Alexstrasza about her children, Fyrakk is just pure destructive chaotic evil, and Raszageth wanted revenge for being banished), and slowly seeing his plans unfold. I don't mind that he's not ever-present like Arthas (Wrath) and Illidan (TBC) were, and it's awesome that every bit of content we've received has pushed the A-plot of the expansion forward a bit. It's typical comic book cheese, but damnit, this is how you make a great big dumb fantasy story arc in an established world.
The dialogues are interesting but visually I feel like a Disney Channel story. I really can't understand what the target audience of blizzard is, it's a bit embarrassing
For a dude who controls time itself he really was very underrated in early expansions. Like... he can alter it to his desire. I think that's a power far worse than elements combined themselves.
I dont get where Murozond came from and how he got insta killed by the gnome. Can someone enlighten me pls? Is the whole Murozond thing history now? Wont he come srsly and be a major villain? Thx in advance.
but the EGGS hmmmmm which eggs does this really mean because the red flight doesn't seem any tiny bit unhappy about watering the eggs like plant seeds and Alexstrasza herself seemed eager to make sure the already-infused-primal egg (that had been Red) gets good treatment in the life pools "can be saved" how? as in won't explode like an old school engineering recipe when it hatches?
Asmond is not my fav streamer, but damn he is right tho. Its a girly bullshit, wow turned to a political statement.
