I wish they still made light 2-strokes like this. I had a '91 YZ-80, and when it hit the power band, if you weren't laying on the tank, the wheel would pop right up! So much fun!
i have a 91 rm 80 i just got and man they don’t make em how they used to , first kick no matter what and the damn powerband comes on like it was a lightswitch , so much fun , only paid 900$
I had a 93’ YZ80 bored 60 over with power reeds. I would obliterate anything 4 stroke to a 250. Could smoke most 125 2 strokes as well. It was all in the gearing on the tracks as well.
I got a 95 and literally 1st-4th it acts like my gxsr lmao i roll onto that throttle hard she stands right up. The yz by far the most fun 80 i like my cr80 too but it aint got shit on the yz as far as fun goes
they do. only difference between the yz80 and 85 is plastic and power. I have a 2000 yz 80 and have spent some time on a 2021 yz85 and they both feel very similar. yz85 is a little smoother but almost not noticeable. the klx 112 is cool too.
man, you used the wrong "you're" and the wrong "they're" lol seriously? do you not know the difference? im curious as to why it is so hard for some people to use the right freaking form of these words?
I had a 1980 YZ-80 my cousin and I owned from new until around 1989 when we foolishly sold it. It was the "bumblebee" yellow and black color scheme. It was wicked fast for a 80cc 2-stroke bike and would easily keep up with and often beat larger displacement 100cc and 125cc 4-cycle enduros. I wish I still had it today.
Hey zack! So I'm thinking about upgrading from a 230 to a 250 or 450 I'm 5,8 what should I choose I'm also fairly experienced just not with mx any tips would help. Thanks:)
I wish my track would let us do this lol. When I was transitioning from the 50 pee wee to a 65 I brought my 50 with us the first day I rode my 65 and some snowflake ratted me out for riding two different bikes and not paying for double entry😂😂😂. But I haven’t touched a bike since I was 11 and I’m 16 now and I’m finally getting another bike in a couple months. I had a pretty good wreck and broke my collar bone and my parents got scared so they took me off the bike lol.
Hey man I'm from Australia watch your vids heaps for pointers I used to ride trail alot n now I'm 19 want to get into the motocross more I've been a couple times to the track but just get nervous pinning it on corners and jumps just wondering if you've ever had a coach or just picked it up along the way ? Or if you have any advice to give ? I ride a 2017 kx250f, thanks mate :) Tried to message on snap but couldn't cause we aren't friends
Dylan Erskine sorry for the late response, but no I’ve never had a riding coach. It’s all about just putting in time at the track. The more you ride, the more comfortable you feel. Don’t expect to be fast your first times at the track, just ride and have fun and you’ll get better and better.
At 4:36 ov this video I thought 4sure that the guy on his dirtbike was gonna come off that jump and slam right into him n knock him off his dirtbike????.... SMFH!!$$... It waz very very close tho
Mr tree ttr125, crf110, yz80, cr80 those are all great starter bikes if you haven't been on one before. I have a ttr125 it's super fun but two strokes are awesome!
Kids page 😀. Yz80s i think is not for noobs, if it is they never learn to drive, much better to learn on a why not 80 fourstroke. By the way two strokes is for the 80s comon
Mines in the trailer got scammer when bought...was told it ran great....32psi compression, bad stator...never trust yourelf or friendly....compression check before you buy. ..takes 20 minutes
