Put yourself in the lot with Murrieta Valley (CA) during their prelims warm up at the 2017 Bands of America Southern California Regional. The band goes through a "tendu" exercise and a specially-written choreography exercise taking the members through each of the poses being asked of them during their show.

Wait, aren't those the Vandguard Cadets' uniform from 2017? I fell like the just took the V logo off.

it think the vanguard uniform is black in the back white in the front, this one is white on the right, black on the left. Somewhat different ^^;

Hey! I'm actually part of this band haha. And our uniforms were designed by the color guard instructor of SCVC. x)

it helps with marching technique and a lot of other things

Because they use ballet or other dance techniques in their show. Additionally those warmups help develop great balance.

Modern "marching" band does little marching. Ballet is a great foundation to everything that a performer may encounter in the marching field. Using ballet techniques also help in avoiding injuries by developing proper muscles that will be used.
