Great lecture Dr. Altaf but what a shame that you do not check your references properly, it is very sad when a PHD stand in front of Muslim audience to speak about the best man Mohamed (PBUH) and the best men in the history of mankind ( His companions) and say , Musab Ibin Omaier grew up in a society where no body know who his father was !!!! though i know what Dr. Altaf is referring to Arab of Jahlya time, but The Arabs for 10,000 years brother had one major components a among many that kept their culture a live which they ( Aalansaab) each and everyone in Arabia at that time specially Mecca know his great great grandfathers up to the 40th and even 50th grandfathers, if a none Muslim hears this statement from you, he would automatically assume that most of Arabs who accepted islam are individuals who do not know their fathers which is absolutely not true and quite insulting actually Dr. Altaf - 2ndly Musaab Ibn Omair did not find out about the message of Islam in Mecca by hearing that Muslims where persecuted as there was no persecutions during Dawaa time in Al-Arqam's house in Mecca, it was after Omar Ibin Alkhtab caem to islam and suggested to the prophet that Muslims should call to Allah in public and that the message must get out to the public - Musaab Ibin Omair found out in the early stages before perscution - please be careful brother and check references before you speak to the young people as it can be destructive - jazkom Allahu khier
