As a brown girl born in the big city, moved before I could remember, the corn fields were the first place I found peace when I got here. I end up close enough to any city and I'm stressed. I go find alpacas in yards, count horses, play my country music along the way. Can't drive a city for crap, but I could lead you to the sunflowers past the water tower around the silos. That's where you find peace

All of the reasons I live in the country. Watching the sunset on my front porch, casting a pole in my pond with a cold beer, listening to the crickets, watching the hummingbirds & squirrels feed... it's beautiful.
