Amazing!! Also I have the critter sprayer. It's an excellent option when you don't want to spend hundreds!

I have a cooling vest that I wear under my other rubber coated suits that makes it manageable to wear for long periods

Was the quick seal silicon? I heard there are problems when latex meets silicon. In the past, I just brushed on the rubber. It did leave brush strokes but it was only visible up close. That compressor is a cool way to spray paint. I had an electric paint sprayer for houses but the paint was too thick and would not leave the jar. It ended up just clogging :/. I do understand Super Buu is smooth but the specks of texture aren't that bad. It kind of makes it look more organic. I just finished the video! Thank you for the name drop! I did monster cosplay videos when I started my youtube channel but editing the hours of creation was difficult. The amount of work I put into making the videos did not result in a good number of views so I stopped making them. I still have most of the footage so I hope I can go back and use it to finish my cosplay series in the figure.

No just the regular kwik seal. I tried using silicone caulk on my very first helmet and it didn't go well lol. Oh no! I've never tried the sprayers for painting houses since they seemed like it may be hard to clean rubber out of. Yeah the critter gun is very useful! I'm telling myself the lumps will be fine lol No problem! Nice! Definitely discouraging to continue making content that isn't getting traction, so no shame in switching it up!

Have you tried Prop Monkey's products, like Gap Filla or Rapid Fill? I've been moving them as prep, instead of ModPodge and QuikSeal. They both seem to work well over foam clay and don't react to Creature Cast (or at least to Amaco Rubber Latex).

I haven't. I'll have to check those out though!

Was it easier to brush or spray paint the sealer on?

Spraying it ends up being quicker and it doesn't soak into the foam quite as much. Either option should be viable though if you don't have the set up to spray it. If I want a specific texture, I usually go back with a brush and stipple more on after spraying as well.

@@BioCosplay how’d you set up that spray? I got an airbrush and air compressor but what something that can do volumes like what you got

What’s your experience with the mobility of fabric coated with creature cast? Do you lose a lot of movement once the rubber is added? Also if you have any experience with the long term wear of this combination I would love to hear your thoughts! ❤️

Coating it in creature cast definitely makes it a bit less flexible. The type of fabric used and how much glue also factors in. It still end up being pretty flexible though. Once this one is done, I'll do a video to show the flexibility If I make another one in the future, I may try not coating it in rubber and just painting the fabric. I saw solomon_taisa on Instagram did a muscle suit and it looked like they didn't coat it in rubber or anything and it looked really good - instagram.com/p/CQeySijj-s7/ I've worn suits like this like 8 hours at a con and wear a cooling vest to help regulate my temperature. I use this one - www.ezcooldown.com/products/complete-performers-vest
