5:41 was at their gig in Yokohama, Japan in November 2017. For me, the strangest thing about the gig was not Matt's outfit, but the fact that he kept calling the place Tokyo instead of Yokohama. We are an independent, major city, the capital of Kanagawa prefecture, NOT TOKYO!
That's true, I didn't even notice ! But he also said things like "Good evening Tokyo and Yokohama!" or "Come on Japan!"... So maybe he thought people from all over Japan were at that gig (which was probably true). But you're right it is disturbing (and a bit annoying for Yokohama people)
Claire Muse the concert was streamed, so yes people from all over the world could watch (although time zones made it a bit hard for non-asians...). But the Yokohama-thing angered me. Yokohama has become my hometown and I love it very much. And also this false advertising of concert places (calling it Tokyo, even if it is not) is a big deal in our area.
Oh yeah I understand that it must be irritating to be called Tokyo instead of Yokohama (even if it's a big city). It seems like Tokyo is the whole country... I hope someone told Matt that it wasn't right
