Muse perform a special 30 minute Live Lounge for Sara Cox, as part of Radio 1's Massive Month of Music. Check out all our other big event over this past month here: www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/events/mu...
I found Muse by accident and love them. I am 71 and around when the great music was born. Muse is the evolution from those days. Haven't been this excited over music in forty decades!
Betty Greene Me too Betty!! Well, I'm 36 but thought good rock bands died a long time ago. I've been going further and further back in time to find great music. You should check out The Black Keys or Arcade Fire if you like these guys. There's not much new music that's very listenable these days if you have an older taste like mine
Chris Pereira So true!! By the 80's everyone was either dead or in rehab. Then came the vanilla boy bands that were so over produced my cat would have sounded good. I just quit listening to new stuff and wore out a lot of tapes and CDs. I was stunned when I first heard Muse. I could hear shades of Queen and thought I was imagining it. Then I read a lot about them. Matt has the four octave range like Freddie, his keyboard work is sweet. Haven't been that blown away since Queen came out with Bohemian Rhapsody! Thanks for the other sites to check out.
+Betty Greene Oh cool! It's awesome to see that this band has a really diverse age group, I'm 12 and have been a pwoper Muser since I was born! And I totally agree with you +Chris Pereira, nowadays, music just doesn't have that feel like it used to. Having grown up with bands like Muse, AC/DC, Guns n' Roses, Bon Jovi, I can see when you're coming from haha! :D
Every bass line this band has requires a ridiculous amount of stamina. Props to Chris for being a stamina monster and being able to do this show after show.
I don't see any other band that have quality, briliant, powerful, and long-lasting performance other than Muse. Who's in 2021 and still watching? We are rockin same!
Found muse when I was trying to dry out. 3months dry I saw them at reading (black holes). The lyrics and music spoke to me and gave me a natural. I haven't drunk since. I saw them at reading again at reading performing origin of the symmetry and felt that my life couldn't get any better. Last month my parnter died (51). My son sent me bridge over troubled water. They get me through any. My eternal gratitude to the boys
1. Madness (00:00) 2. Uprising (4:42) Dom's Face (5:00) 3. Follow Me (10:24) 4. Panic Station (14:27) 5.Sign O' The Times (Prince Cover) (17:48) 6. Starlight (21:45)
Matt Bellamy stands alone in modern day music. We have the privilege witnessing one of the greats. He is definitely one of a kind, unbelievable. Thank You!
I don't know if this is lower down somewhere, but here is the set list. 00:02 - Madness 04:42 - Uprising 10:24 - Follow Me 14:27 - Panic Station 17:58 - Sign O' the Times (Prince cover) 21:45 - Starlight
Look up their performance they did for a tv show! Its the second result after you search Madness Muse Live. Matt goes full with both notes without falsetto and its amazing to hear!
@@parcito what do you mean he isn’t ? It’s easy for him to either sing (rather very well btw) and play some hard line bass The guy is a very fine and elite artist that’s obvious I can’t quote any other bass player as creative as he is though
And a very good singer in his own right….I’ve seen them live (& would love to again….best concert ever seen & I’ve seen LED Zeppelin & Rush & original Genesis!) & his harmonies are spot on
Not just as a bassist but also as a vital piece of this impressive power trio. As a band-member Chris always brings it, even when Matt asks him to play an iPad.
Have you tried hitting the stop button or pause button. I find they can stop it. If all else fails then hit the power off. That never fails. You’re welcome.
2 things I noticed from this. 1) Matt's finally got the hang of not breathing in sharply with a microphone in his mouth 2) That bass actually grabs a sample of Matt live for use on the chaos pad. Highly amusing tech! :D
Arguably the greatest band of the last 20 years or so! The longevity and pure talent to reproduce hit after hit is amazing, Plus the live shows are literally out of this world.
Recorded is brilliant.. But I had the chance to see them in Rio a few days ago and LIVE IS ANOTHER LEVEL of BRILLIANCE Probably the best live act I've ever seen
Yeah, literally would be correct... as I believe I was possibly transported somewhere else very special for a little while haha. Knights is my favorite example of a song that, live, destroys the recorded version. I was never really a big fan of it until hearing it, no... FEELING it live!
Matt Bellamy's voice at 3:40 gives me chills. Not that this part is spot on the cd, but live .. I find no words for how much I'm enjoying his wonderful vibrato. This is one of the world's best live bands, I longing and dreaming of seeing a beautiful day!
Sadly he stopped doing it pretty early on (it must be pretty hard for him to do it) and falsetto's that part through, I enjoyed it alot while he did it. The performance from the swedish talk show (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_Zo8g6NWRow.html) is my favorite one.
Love this setting. They are amazing live performers. But without all the lights and stage imagery you can see...they are great anywhere. Big influence on us.
I just literally found them yesterday and I havnt stop listening to them!! Wow how I have missed them all this years??? I'm 42 and I love metal , rock and great music. MUSE is just awesome and underrated. Probably still ahead of our times.
A R Then you’ve discovered one of the greatest band! If you ever get the chance to see them live in concert you’ll see that they’re even greater! Hope you’ll get that chance one of these days!
A R also I would personnaly recommended these songs: -The handler -Psycho -Starlight -Knights of Cydonia (I personnaly prefer the “live at Rome Olympic stadium version” but the original version is also good) -Supermassive black holes -Undisclosed desires -Resistance -Uprising -The dark side And I’ll add some others a little bit later
@@Stella-vp5zg thank you!! I'm already all over the place with the band. My teenager also just got the band under the skin immediately after we watched all their videos. We can't get over!!
Matt Bellamy is a 21st Century prodigy. He is unlike any other musician since time began......he is a master composer, lyricist, and can play a myriad of instruments. That is totally EXCEPTIONAL! Penda
Mom used to listen to them, she likes "Dead Inside" the most. I've decided to check some of their songs and here I am listening to Muse whole fucking day. It's still rock but it's much different from other bands I listen to. Gotta admit Matt has his own way of singing and you can see that the voice is coming from deep inside. I love how he uses his wide voice range playing with it like a legend. They are definitely underrated, but most bands and singers I listen to are underrated. Also I'm from Poland and I've got to thank you, England for: Muse, Arctic Monkeys, Gorillaz, Blur, my favourite singer Damon Albarn and David Bowie.
How is muse underrated ? There a huge band and anyone who knows something about music will know who they are . They’ve played in huge stadiums , sold millions of records , have a shit ton of Spotify streams . Not a band I would call underrated
It's amazing to see when Matt goes into his full singing voice; Not forceful, he pulls back but tilts his head to the side. Normally you pull the microphone back for it to pick up your voice
Madness (00:00) Uprising (4:42) Follow Me (10:24) Panic Station (14:27) Sign O' The Times (Prince Cover) (17:48) Starlight (21:45) by Gary Goss - 11 months ago
This has to be the best live lounge ever. Always loved muse never gets old. Matt certainly has a set of lungs on him. All 3 of them are perfectly in sync with one another it’s incredible to watch
Some bands or artists don’t show their real personality due to their fame but Muse are so real, they are amazing artists one moment and goofy friends the next. You can just tell by Matt’s smile at the end and the “cheers”
Wow. So this just randomly appeared on my feed and I instantly thought: I think I watched this like 10 years ago. I check the date and it was exactly 10 years. Crazy how time flies and you don’t notice.
Matthew est sans conteste le meilleur performeur en live de tous les temps. Il réussi à sublimer ses chansons et les rendre encore plus belle à écouter que lors de l'enregistrement des albums. Sa voix est toujours placée à la perfection!
Muse is really one of the best bands out there today. Matt's vocals are SO GREAT, his guitar playing is awesome, Chris has some fire basslines and the beat's always right. So happy I found this band! Definitely amongst my favourites.
This is staggering, look at those equipments to keep the music at the hands of every personnel. The thinking, the focus, the performing, all at once. Wow.
