Agree. Someone once said to me "I played drums in HS.....he is not that good." I looked at him and said "and here you are working with me.....why don't you have the job?" I think Dom is great.
This my all-time favourite Muse song, excluding live remakes. It's just so completely awesome. I so want a flange pedal to play that intro but no one seems to sell them
I saw them live back in 2016..... I hoped to hear Map of the problematique, Darkshines, Fury, Screenager, Space Dementia... But instead I heard Dead inside, madness etc... :(
@@eugeniar7101 Wish I saw them tour right after black holes and revelations, but seeing them in 2016 was still amazing just not as many old tracks as I would've preferred
Been watching live Muse videos from 2010 and I kept thinking that there was something different about Matt's stage presence...not in his performance, which was riveting, as usual. But that crazy, explosive energy just wasn't there. Then I realized the performances took place after his break-up with Gaia. Now, in this video, like fukuro19 commented, I distinctly hear him sing, "Since I lost you." I don't know what my point is, lol--he apparently has recovered rather brilliantly. I'm glad. (:
This song is underrated. it doesn't make top 10 Muse songs for the band and so many die hard fans. I've for a long time shared your opinion on this song. New Born must come second. But rating Muse songs is hopeless. It's easier to say this list of 25 songs are my favourite Muse songs ;-)
This is my top favorite muse song since 2007 . Even driving songs like hysteria or new born or time and old school do not make this cosmic and heart effect on me . I find this song perfect and smooth and muse never created something like this not before not after
omg that bassline kills!! and the drums, and the guitar, and the vocals!! a super-song really!! but the bassline omg the bassline is like " written by bass-god himself" !! 50% of us in VINDRA are going to see muse in Stockholm in december to learn a bit from the best !! and yes im the bassist writing this and I will be there for sure !! :) muse kicks ass !! and yes there is still tickets left ...
@RecreationalCarrot *butting in, sorry!* Gaia Polloni, yes.. Though at the time of Glastonbury 2010 I think Matt was dating Kate Hudson, and obviously we know how serious the relationship has turned out to be what with the engagement and the baby, but I think it's nice that even after he's moved on, he's still changing the lyrics for her, plus it gets a lot of sympathy from the fans who see him live I think:P
@GOR225 Incorrect. I seen them in 2008 and they opened with MOTP and I distinctivley remember the lyrics were "since I met you" during the whole song. But I seen them in Nov '09 and July of this year and the lyric was changed to "since I lost you" Most likely due to the breakup of Matt & Gaia.
O vocalista tem voz de fantasma hehehe é uma personalidade isso, gosto muito dessa música, esse estilo de voz e afinação fazem deles uma grande banda, fazem show em muitos cantores mais famosos mas que só usam playback
@revoltalution72 I'm pretty sure it's not a scale, just a pattern of notes that Bellamy likes. You can hear it clearer prolly in Muscle Museum 2004 Glasto.
@fukuro19 that's a reference to the break up of him and his ex girlfriend Gaia Polloni . he also changes the lyrics of "time is running out" from "you will suck the life out of me" to "you will fuck the life out of me" which is a reference to his recent relationship with Kate Hudson.
SnakeEater866 but its not as good, the Tama kit dom has just lacks the power of his DW kit, the audience has virtually been muted, so all of the instruments sound as if theyve been layered carelessly here, granted its quiet, this is the best take ive heard them do
@munstereoin I'm kinda 50/50 with his new drum kit. Rockier songs sounds better with it but the more poppier songs kinda lag behind a bit with it me thinks.
