My late grandmother used to make rag dolls for my mother back in the 1940s. Women would get the flour and feed sacks to sew aprons, dresses, and home made dolls. Glad to see that there is a museum dedicated to those country people. One of my favorite places to eat is Cracker Barrel because of the good, old fashion food and the country ambience.

Been here many times. Always fun! If you can ever get to it on the 4th of July they do an anvil shoot. And yes, that is indeed as fun as it sounds.

What a great place to visit! I'm from Florida, and stopped on my way home from a long road trip. Just so happened that there was a TV crew there filming a segment for the local news and the museum was launching anvils into the air with explosives! Apparently, that's what farmers used to do for fun... who knew?! Thanks Jacob for taking us to this amazing place!

Jacob what an amazing place. The folk art and quilts are so wonderful. So much interesting history here. Not sure why but have always loved the log cabins. There seem to be many on display here. Could spend days in a place like this. Thank you for the tour. Something really caught my eye is the topsie turvey doll because I have one just like it. Love your channel has to be one of my favorites. Keep Safe❤Keep Well❤

I live in North Carolina now but I grew up in Harlan Ky which is right next to Middlesboro. There were a couple of Harrison’s crosses next to State Police Post 10 in Harlan near Wendy’s. They should still be there. I remember them distinctly my whole life.
