"The Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT) is a science and technology museum located in Western Springs, Auckland, New Zealand. It is located close to the Western Springs Stadium, Auckland Zoo and the Western Springs Park.
The museum has large collections of civilian and military aircraft and other land transport vehicles.
An ongoing programme is in place to restore and conserve items in the collections. This work is largely managed by volunteers but, since the passing of the Museum of Transport and Technology Act in 2000, has been supported by full-time professional museum. New public programmes and facilities now promote the collections.
MOTAT was established in 1960 by a combination of groups including the Old Time Transport Preservation League, which was formed in 1957 and preserved trams and railway locomotives. MOTAT was formally opened in 1964." Wikipedia

As a side note I got married (for the first, but not last time) in the little church featured in the video with the reception being held in what is now the Museum Cafe. It is 39 years since I was back in the church and it remains beautifully if not better cared for that it was in 1982.
The museum is a great place for an outing, free for over 65's and great for families with a number if attractions oriented towards children. The tram ride between the aviation pavilion and the original MOTAT is free to museum ticket holders with a stop along the way at the Auckland Zoo (a separate attraction).
It is very easy to spend two or three hours at the museum and there is a cafe with reasonable prices where you can take a rest and undercover but outdoor seating.
