A wonderful trip to see so many wonderful places. One could spend days admiring Strasbourg Cathedral in all it's intricate detail. I greatly appreciate your attention to those little things that in general disappear into the overall picture - and yet are a delight to discover (little dog at 2:03)... I envy you regarding the Doré exhibition. To stand but centimetres away from his sketches is super fantastic! For me though, the best part was all the paintings in the different museums. To see and physically experience Time in such a way is something that one can never fully comprehend or get used to when observing the compositions of the old masters. I hope you will someday soon be able to return to that museum and spend a great deal more time lost in the splendours it has to offer... The Colmar scene at 11:58 is a fine subject for an art piece itself actually. The Unterlinden museum monastic inner garden is very beautiful and peaceful. But I was very surprised at 17:12 - is that the original Guernica? Also THANK YOU for going to the contemporary section 😁- it is definitely different, and very nice of you to not leave it out for your viewers (yup, I just happen to also love selected 'modern/contemporary' artworks - you can now ban me 😅)... I loved how the walls in the final section were painted bishop purple to be the perfect complementary colour for all those incredibly uplifting compositions. And of course a Cat had to be included in the video! They seem to be everywhere, keeping watch on things... Thank you for taking your viewers on such a great and productive and inspirational trip. I very much enjoyed it... BUT... must leave a critique: all the footage of those DELICIOUS looking meals were a torture to watch, and make me quite hungry - ravenous in fact. And so now I have to bid adieu, and go quickly to raid the fridge for an absolutely boring sandwich or something... Excellent video, thank you for uploading! 🤟🎨🖌

I could definitely have spent days there! Maybe years, it's stunning and so intricate... The dog was a super cute story: it's a representation of a priest's dog, the dog was said to bark when people didn't listen, and was so loved than when they made the chair in stone (it was previously made of wood) they added this tribute. Hundreds of years ago... I heard a guide telling the story and found it adorable - initially I noticed it because someone with a massive camera stood super close to photograph it. No the Guernica isn't an original, it's actually a tapestry, it's made of wool! An art piece in itself, but not the original painting. I'm sorry for the food torture!

I live in the desert in the United States (Nevada) and we do not have any beautiful architecture, no good museums to visit. I would love to live so close to such beautiful sites to visit. Thank you for the tour ❤

Wow! The timing is strange as I was just recently making an itinerary for a trip to Alsace! The cathedral is breathtaking.. And the Bouguereau piece is also one of my favourites, it's such an emotional painting. It also looked like they had another of my favourites by Sassoferrato - his Madonna (there's one here in London that I love!) Colmar looks like an urban sketching dream. This video must have taken so much work to make, thank you for sharing it✨

Oh when are you going? I hope you have as good of a trip as I did - Colmar is indeed lovely for urban sketching, I didn't get to do any sketches as I usually don't when I'm with people who don't draw... I'm not the best as drawing and being social at the same time. I just checked out the Madonna by Sassoferrato, and I remember it from my visit, it's a piece that jumped out at me 😊

Oh!
