Thank you for sharing this, and playing it slowly. All too often, people put up videos explaining something, but play too quickly, so it is difficult sometimes to see exactly what they are doing. Although I am not a pianist, I play an electronic organ, I find this useful, as I am trying to move away a bit from just recognising chords by their symbols, and actually playing more with my left hand.
Thanks a lot, for sharing your knowledge, Jane. I'm really learning to play the piano, not only to play songs by studying your videos. Gracias por tu valentía de seguir publicando tus lecciones.
One of my late nans favourite songs, I'd love to be able to play this for my mum one day! Only been playing for seven months so not quite at this level yet but this is an amazing tutorial! I'll be able to use this easily :)
Thanks, Jane! It seems like this is the exact version which Frank played. I would love to know where you got this from because I would like to put a student in this piece but they need to have a purchased copy for a local competition. Where did you find the score? Did you write it down from the recording yourself? If so, the: 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
I assume the viewer from Spain sent the score along with his/her request. I used GoogleImage search, the one on SheetmusicPlus matches (except it had fingering). I added that link to the webpage (links in video description and outro). Best of luck to your student ❤️
Thanks. Music Box Dancer is a fun piece. Knew my project will be useful for retiring boomers (I led the way). Did Fur Elise and most standard pieces. Comprehensive list is on my website. Enjoy!
I am a retiree and try to pass my time by learning to play piano. Your tutorial with the sheet music is very helpful when you play it slow. Great job!Can you do a tutorial for Cat Steven’s Morning Has Broken also?
Playing piano is a perfect retirement hobby. My best wishes to you. Google search returned a piano score for Morning has Broken, will do for you. Are you in the U.S.?
First at quarter-speed (MM≈30); then at half speed (MM≈60). (Original is MM≈120) I suspect the LH in the original recording is more varied, but maybe my ears are just being confused by the orchestral overlay. Any case, thanks beaucoup for this! [Note: this is in C, making it easier for more people. Original was in C#/D♭.] Fred
Great tutorial. Just one question: It seems like there's a few extra notes on the right hand portion--compared to the Frank Mills version. Did you add any extra notes, or is it just written that way?
...Last part of the fifth measure--c e g c. It may just be me, but I can't hear it on the Frank M. version. I haven't been playing for too long, so I hope I explained that correctly.--in any case, I'm still playing it the way you're teaching it. Thanks
@@flipperdale51 It would sound strange without the c e g c. Should be safe to follow this published sheet music. I keep getting copyright citations from numerous agencies!
Kindly redo Video highlighting Each note(s) as played, this way we can know what the sound and location of each note as well, as you play the key's. I don't know how to read the notes and watch at the same time as I also have to look at the keys. SECOND: Kindly make another video , using my same technological suggestion for this video of "Highlighting each note as you play. BTW I'm number 666 on the likes 8GREAT OJB ON GOING SO SLOW, SOME OF US NEED THAT*
FIRST. Do you mean draw a color whenever my any finger hits a key? Use my video and draw in colors. I’ll upload yours and give you all the credit ! Wow, that’ll be great. Will give you the ad money too, guessing 2 pennies each year. SECOND. Am working on today’s upload right now that I started 3 days ago. Truly wish I had time to color. THIRD. You must try my sight reading Lesson 1 before telling me you can’t read music yet. Of course you can’t if you don’t try 😂 FOURTH. Thanks for your compliment 🤗
My tutorials are not for you to like. They are to help you learn by yourself: Step 1. Study my sight-reading lessons. Step 2. Slow the video with speed tools. Step 3. Learn a short section at a time.
