RP Patnaik, also known as Ravindra Prasad Patnaik, is an Indian music director, playback singer and writer. He is predominantly works in Telugu film industry but also works in Tamil and Kannada film industries. He has received many awards like the Filmfare Award and the Nandi Award in Best Music Director category for the movie Nuvvu Nennu and he has also got the Filmfare Award in Best Music Director category for the movie Santhosham. Some of his famous films are Santosham, Jayam and Aa Naluguru and many more..
Patnaik had entered the film industry with a desire to become a film director, and began first as a music director. It was after cinematographer-turned-director. Patnaik made his directorial debut with the 2008 film Andamaina Manasulo.
RP Patnaik shared his feelings and opened up about his music career and also about his life journey in an exclusive Interview with Frankly with TNR at "Talking Movies with iDream" show.

I watched n read the comments n okkaru kooda kulasekhar gurinchi kaneesam okka comment kooda rayakapovadam surprise!! I got shocked to hear about kulasekhar n his latest photo. Kulasekhar wrote block buster songs for RP gaaru n others, wrote dialogues for movies like Venky's Gharshana , directed a film...n introduced the heroine Anjali...a movie producers n distributors politics valla theatres loki raaledu..I attended the audio function in Padmalaya studio...youtube lo undi.movie...prema lekha raasa! Losing faith on God after hearing kulasekhar's tragedy....he wrote padyalu n songs for etv bapu-ramana bhagavatam too..! oka pedda hero....iddarini shoot chesi, mental ani act chesi , doctors help too tappinchukoni ippudu movies teestoo ,mla ayyadu!!
