a disk with the shreker activation sound followed by the warden emergence sound would be good to set that up maybe with a blindness potion dispenser.

basically the same thing i was going to say. but instead of using a disk of the sheiker sound, have a sensor trigger and set off a real one, and using wireless redstone to trigger the record of the warden spawning would be great, but sadly theres not a way to get a potion of blindness to sell the effect

@@jesrishel7532 @Tundra14 ah well yer still think it’s cool to get similar results with very different methods. thinking of a hybrid of the two gets the cogs turning though, just not many people are going to need a stupid amount of discs so it’s probably not going to happen (unless other hermit figure out how to make custom ones themselves mby there’d be demand, it’ll just be an inventory nightmare)

@@t.w.7057 Rays works recently showed off his disc sorter design(don't know when it was made), så inventory wouldn't be too bad. But I'm pretty sure one of the hermit where talking about a record shop. Might have been rendog. Not sure.

Funny enough, the day Zed's video came out, I left a comment THERE begging the sheepy one to show off to Tango, because of all the Hermit's he's the one to appreciate the effort.

Maybe he could rig it up to a mechanism where you unlock a part of the Decked Out map, a shortcut or some functionality, but by doing so you drop the Wilhelm Villager to his doom. It's a bit more subtle and meaningful, but I can't say I dislike the in-your-face version right as you enter either.

Very possible. It would sound better, but the hermits would have to learn all the sounds associated to each card

@@TangoTekLP What does the subtitle say when a custom disk is played? Does it still say the name of the vanilla disk or can you set it to say whatever? That could be a cool way to have the sounds you want but have a way for hermits to know what sounds mean

I think I see what you mean, like "menu" voiceover could pull a little too far out of 'holy moly this is in vanilla Minecraft?!' immersion...? It does seem a bit out of place when imagining it within the last version of Decked Out; however, without knowing the whole scope/vibe Tango has planned for DO2 it's hard to guess how well it'd integrate. I don't think the custom records idea should be totally discounted though--its a neat mechanic, and sound/music/ambient noise can be a really powerful storytelling/immersion tool, not to mention how useful it can be for communicating/alerting your players. I wonder if it could be matched up with a silenced(?) mob somehow to emulate a "custom" mob; i.e. have a couple of sound effects and a track loop that could indicate to the player that an armored/power-bowed skeleton was in a certain area (gulp, invisible???).

Totally agree, the voice lines are better for a tutorial. If anything, I'd make the voice a haunted whisper, rather than an announcer.

@@4Bakers Oh wow I totally forgot Tango will probably have to make another How To Play video for Decked Out Two! Possibly insane but possibly amazing if maybe he could work with an animator/GUI designer to present it in a "parody/homage" of a more...mainstream(?) tutorial/pitch video... in my head with the "Beast Sense" voice clips he presented, it comes across very much as the menu of an arcade game, so I can see it as one of those looping demo reels that run before you insert your quarters...

@@rfresa They can make as many records as they want. It doesn't replace the original record, it just creates a new record for that sound only.

I guess they both worked on a similar thing around the same time? Or maybe was recorded before Zed learned the TNT skeleton trick? Or even this was before Zed and Ren finished their tool for said trick? Nobody will never know...

Tangos option is more sustainable and can be AFKed, but I bet he probably would have liked to know about Zedaphs option before spending however long wrangling skellies, haha.

Or just use sculk sensors and divide the 50 juke boxes in sections. Uses less redstone and it is easier to troubleshoot on each section instead of one big synchronous system with 50 juke boxes.
