If you haven't listened to it already, you should try the album melody's echo chamber by melody's echo chamber. Overall, it sounds a bit different (more dream pop elements than a tame impala album), but kevin produced the album & worked on some of the instrumentation, so there are a handful of parts that feel like they could've been on lonerism or something (the drums are probably the biggest example of this).
But really that’s ok friend, we all love Kevin, but we can also love other artists for what they create. But I also agree with first comment dude, he isn’t like a lot of these bands anymore, what I hear in this playlist is just raw original great music, but I feel like Kevin nowadays is just going with what’s popular now. Again I love Kevin and he is one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to creating music... but yeah I wish he would go back to his raw psych rock pedalboard ways
Even if people try to emulate his sound, I don't think its a bad thing. He is leading the way for a new genre of music or possibly reinventing what psychedelic pop is/was.
I love this list I found 24 hours ago and I have been playing it since then, there is fun and hope out there, limitless possibilities, open your mind and celebrate NOW, we are alive and still rocking n rolling...Good vibes everyone ;---)
look up the songs "Oidar", "Sex Wax", and "Twinkle" by Hether (from their Sticky Thumb album), also the songs "Anybody", "Where Did You Go?", "Next To You" by Sam Evian (off of his You, Forever LP) if you're looking for that Tame Impala, Unknown Mortal Orchestra sound. thank me later.
@@iliketinyturtles Tame Impala’s sound definitely is more harder to replicate, when it comes to the drums and mixing, it’s definitely harder to do than Men I Trust.

Cool To Be Unhappy is one of my favorite songs. I watched Vol. 1 to this and enjoyed it, and I discovered Elephant Castle a few months ago. I sometimes think it's Kevin until I realize it's not. Such a good song. Edit: oh my god there's so many songs on here that I found on spotify and listen to daily. Kainalu, The Light by Metronomy, Hunnybee, If I Could Find You by The Holydrug Couple, Sunbeam Sound Machine, Dreams Via Memories by Ceramic Animal, Undercover Dream Lovers, Shalala by The Moses Gunn Collective, this playlist is literally my spotify playlist in a nutshell

@@CoDplease Yeah I know Kevin produces all the music, but he doesn't tour alone and play everything by himself. All those guys are his friends, and they tour as a group....
lets be real, the first song was legit. i dunno what to appreciate, the bass line is simple but fkn catchy, the drums are dirty but clean, the synth following bassline and THE VOCALS melody, everythings *fire emoji.
DAAAAAAMN, 23:58 Boogarins! These guys r from my city in Brazil (goiania).. So many memoirs. I remember they playing here in very small and underground clubs. Whata good surprise!
Verdade, esses dias vi uma mulher comentando que começou a tocar boogarins em uma lanchonete la na Grécia. Muito provável que as músicas deles tenham sido tocadas mais fora do Brasil do que no próprio Brasil.
