Voctave brought me to your channel and I hope to see many more of their songs to come! I love your reactions, I've seen soooooo many reactions to this group because they're one of my favorites and your reactions rank right up at the top of the ones I've seen because it's so genuine and I love how knowledgable you are about everything. I especially love the way your nose crinkles up anytime you hear something you particularly love lol. I believe you called it the stankface on the last reaction I saw lol. Love it! Keep them coming and I will keep watching! Thank you for a great reaction video!
hehehe the good ol' nose crinkle :P thanks for the kind words! i'm definitely doing their Prince of Egypt soon, as many have requested that one especially!
I discovered Voctave late, but they have become my favorite acapella group, and considering how good some of those other groups are, that's saying something. Each and every one of these singers are extremely skilled on their own, they work really well together, and the arrangements by Jamey Ray are exceptional. If you like acapella and Disney songs, you might enjoy another take on "Go the distance" by another excellent group, BYU Vocal Point. It's done in collaboration with the All American Boys Chorus, is really well shot (by another master of his craft, Nick Sales), and the arrangement is beautiful. While it has over 7 million views, there have been very few reactions to it.
Voctave's Disney Showstoppers Medley features several more of the men in the spotlight. Jamey Ray (in the burgundy shirt) does all of their arrangements.
Great reaction. They have so many amazing songs. I hope you'll keep going. I love You Will Be Found, Someone Like You, Disney Show Stoppers, and one of my very Favorites, Mary Did you Know. They also have a lot of Christmas Video's to choose from too.
This was actually produced before Voctave was officially formed ... in fact, it was Jeremy who suggested the group's name to Jamey Ray (he's the tenor in the maroon shirt, second from the far right, who is the founder of the group and the sole arranger of all of their pieces). Voctave has 11 members -- but this recording features only 8, plus Kirstin and Jeremy. Kirstin and Jeremy were romantically involved at the time, so you can definitely pick up on a strong connection in their singing, but you're the ONLY reviewer who has commented on their amazed responses to the Voctave singers, particularly when Kate Lott hits her stratospheric notes!!
