It is not a solid state amp it is a digital amp. Btw i got the deluxe head a couple of weeks ago and i really like it, great tones and the built in tuner is very handy too.

I'm not sure if I understand your question? Do you want to know if the Blackstar sounds good at low volumes? If so: yes, it definately does. :) But if you only want it for that purpose I would tend to go for the small combos, 20 or 50 watts. 👍

Hahaha. Yeah, I habe a collection of amps so I have a better view on how good amps are in comparison. And as the Ax2 212 was my first "real" amp back in the 1990ies, I just had to have the AxSys when it was available used very cheap ... and it came with the Ax2-Kit, so I can change it if I want to. 😊

I'm new to amp heads. Is a cabinet needed or can I just use the head?

If you want a head you need a cab to use it. But maybe it would be easier for you to get one of the Combo versions. 👍

Check out the stereo Spider V 240HC MK2 240watt head combo, it's got good sounding built-in 50watt stereo speakers. Get a 4x12 cab later.

Can i use this as a bass head paired with a bass cabinet and get a clean not distorted sound?

You could, but it's not really made for it. If you want to use the amp like 90 % for guitar and some time for bass it might be an option ... if not, better get a "real" bass amp. :)

Music nStuff i don t have a guitar and i wanted to use it just for bass So its not a good option

Music nStuff ok The main reason i want a guitar head and use it for playing bass is the presence control but thx for the advice

@@Monolithy No problem, you're welcome. But if you want classic bass sounds, better get a bass amp. And if it's not enough sound possibilities for you, you could try to combine it with a EQ pedal. 👍

Hi. That's an ESP Edwards E-P-85J Pierrot Signature model. A nice modern "Strat" version ... Edwards is a part from ESP that's only for the Japanese market .... as far as I know ... but very good instruments. And sometimes they make it overseas. 😎
