The one you heard multiple times is We Are, and it is indeed a nostalgic classic that the anime tends to bust out for anniversary occasions. Many artists have done multiple songs; you probably caught it but it wasn't worth mentioning even though I was hoping you'd drop a comment of comparison with a previous song. Regarding spoilers, you're amazingly unobservant and you are lucky in that regard. Many people have had the biggest few plot twists spoiled to them from openings alone. One Piece is definitely worth getting into, but it might take too much effort to react to on a case-by-case basis. It might be more enjoyable to you to just watch it on your own time, or to do such videos every 10+ episodes or outright on a per arc basis. The animation is actually a bit contentious. The early animation was oldfashioned but good. The early HD era was a complete refresh that was still very close to what the author drew and it looked good. Then there was a period I can only describe as 'cashcow suck' where the budget and great animators were put into other promising shows because 'people will watch One Piece anyway'. Then a couple of years ago they got the guy who was responsible for that recent Dragon Ball movie, and the art style was updated to match that which made things a lot flashier and comparitively easier on the animators because of a more updated production pipeline. (Which they then promptly lost due to a hack / crypto virus and had to recreate over the course of a month together with other lost stuff.)

56:55 oh nah that was hand drawn animation. It looks hella smooth so that could be why it seems like cgi. You could look up the animator on SakugaBooru who did that scene, I think his name is Takashi Kojima.

Honestly? Watch the first 40 episodes and see if you enjoy it. If it doesn't hook you after that point, it's probably not the anime for you. That said, I don't know of many people that have dropped it after that point. Most reactors I've seen watched the first five, went "bet" and have yet to stop. XDDD We fans will be quick to tell you to watch at least to the end of the Arlong Park arc, and that it just keeps getting better, but tbh, it's a fun ride from the start. Just tend to forget how fun it is due to how crazy it gets later on. The start is still good, it's just not as good as latter parts. It's definitely a journey, but one that's worth checking out and I think you'll enjoy the OST while watching.

Peak Fiction, One Piece needs to be watched at least once in everyone's life... or read.
