Music Producer Reacts to Anime Openings FOR THE FIRST TIME! #2 

Serial Experiments Lain op is called Duvet and it's by a band called bôa. They're not Japanese, and the song is fully English and a very interesting but fitting choice for an anime op. Not only is it one of my favorite anime openings but also one of my favorite songs in general. I really suggest listening to the full version in your free time!!

2:46 Ah, I think you'll find that "anime" is less of a "genre" than what you're expecting! ;) There's anime out there with art styles and themes that are *_incredibly_* different from what you think of when you hear the word "anime" . It's really more about the style of storytelling and the "vibes", there's just something about the way Japan handles fiction that feels very distinct. The general definition is "animation made in Japan for a Japanese audience". Japanese studios do a lot of out-source animation for America, so "animation made in Japan" would end up including things like _Animaniacs_ and _The Real Ghostbusters_ and I think most people would call these American style animation! Also, yes you're half-correct about the singer for "Duvet"! She's half-Japanese, born in London. Also, even though you're a music producer and all, don't be afraid to comment on something other than the music! ;) Giving your guesses about what the show might be about based on what you're seeing, can be entertaining for people who have seen the series and know what it's actually about!

Vinland Saga OP1 is one of the best openings of all time. up there with AOT Rumbling, and Banana Fish OP1

Vinland saga is one of the best anime ever written, as soon as you can, watch the rest of the opening and endings, all of them, I repeat, all of them are really great

If you liked the Lain opening and the chill vibe of it, I also recommend checking out the openings for Mushishi and Mushishi Zoku Shou! They are both beautiful songs in English, and Shiver always gives me chills (ironic!) A very chill anime and perfect OPs for it.

Like generic anime channel’s shirou vid, it’s billion$ budget & ufotable even come together to give us peak animation of any year they drop
