Such a masterpiece. Kanami's solo gives me chills every time I hear it. MISA's bass line is great. The vocals are excellent. My girl Akane is just amazing as always.
Kanami's solo in this song is one of my favorite solos -- by anyone -- of all time (I've been listening to music -- largely rock, metal and punk -- for 50+ years).
Daydreaming, About Us, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage, At the Drop of a Hat and Smile -- an unbelievable range of mid-tempo songs from the greatest hard rock band on the planet - Band-Maid. "Daydreaming," "YOLO," "Puzzle,” and a host of others are world-class masterpieces. Although I love Daydreaming just the way it is and believe it may be Band-Maid's best composed and overall accessible song, I've always wonder if it was sung in English, how deep in the international market Daydreaming would have traveled...? Oh well, I'll stop daydreaming now. Thx TYLR, for another great Band-Maid reaction!
i can understand what you are saying and i think you're right MIKU says that all lyrics can be written in English , but that would cause misunderstandings KANAMI also people overseas to know about Japanese culture , so i don't think the lyrics will be all inEnglish
Puzzle still is my favorite Band-Maid song by far... Everything else is same GREATNESS level, but Puzzle is just a standout for me, i love Kanamis guitar in Puzzle...
Every time you think you have found your favorite Band-Maid song, solo, riff you'll listen to another song, solo, riff by them and then you'll have a new favorite. Eventually you will give up and realize every song, solo, riff they do is a favorite. They are magical-musical-maids, Miku's Omajinai really works.
The awesome thing about relistening to their music is you hear and discover new stuff every listen. MISA has a huge part in every song, if you pay attention, you'll hear her going off in every song.

From Japan Thank you for the wonderful reaction of BAND-MAID. Everyone recommended hard rock and power ballads, but you haven't heard funky rock yet. I recommend Bubble, YORO and Alone , Corallium .
They are all really talented. They are so good, because they let each other show it, that's why Misa is so praised. She is indeed an amazing bass player, but if the band does not let you show it, no one will know. That is one of the things I really love about this girls. they are a band of sisters.
For something a bit different you might do a double reaction using, first, the MV "secret My lips" which uses live footage from a great Jan. 2017 concert at Akasaka BLITZ and then do the other MV version of the song named "secret MAIKO lips."
Hey Tom, Love that your trying to help this guy with their names but I gave you a thumps down because I despise Sai Chans nick name.....just saying & I don't care if people have been calling her that for yrs.
@@TomClark-Futoura some are starting to refer to her as sensei after she started giving Japanese lessons. But of course Miku sometimes refers to Kanami as sensei. Band members call her Sai- Chan. But if we do that then we have to call Kanami- Mincho. Which is what she told us to call her anyway. So I don't really have a suggestion but I agree that Ice Queen is out dated. She now has a multi faceted personality. And she doesn't like Psycho-Saiki. Tsundere Saiki?
you have found your favorite Band-Maid song ? take a look at Puzzle ( 1st live + 2nd Acoustic) and Moratorium before look at Sayonakidori [Acoustic LIVE Version] enjoy the Ride Peace&Love...Dai.
I have like 30 Band-Maid songs in my Top 30. Daydreaming is not one of them. It's in a category of it's very own. If this isn't played during my funeral, I'm coming back to haunt people 😉👻
Yes its Miku - you got there in the end lol. The founder and band leader and amazing 2nd vocalist and great rythmn guitarist- and fantastic lyrics writer :) And yes the bassist is Misa- one of the best bassists on the planet! p.s Why did you say EWWwww at one of Kanami's most loved and beautiful solos?
Daydreaming is my favorite. Until I hear Manners, then Manners is my favorite. Until I hear Blooming, then Blooming is my favorite. Until I hear Daydreaming, then ...
Here's your "Cheat Sheet".....since you like Influencer. Band-Maid Is: Akane Hirose (Ah-kah-nee or Ah-kah-nay) -Drums Nickname: “Ah-chan” and "Gorilla" for her appetite for Banana's for stamina. MISA (Mee-sah) - Bass Guitar Nickname: "The Barefoot Assassin" MISA always performs barefoot to "feel" the music through her feet, and kills all her parts. Kanami Tono (Kah-nah-mee) - Lead Guitar/Songwriter Nickname: "Mincho" “Kanamincho” Miku Kobato(Mee-koo) -Rhythm Guitar/Lyricist/Founder/Backing Vocals/Lead Vocals Hardest working girls in music Nickname: "Little Pigeon" (Miku’s surname means “Little Pigeon”) ....po Saiki Atsumi (Sy-kee) -Lead Vocals Nickname: "The Princess" “Si-chan” Saiki grew out of her original "Ice Queen" title she was labeled due to her shyness of being the youngest. Saiki is the Princess but Miku is the "Queen"
I laughed when you said Misu. You got confused between Misa and Miku. It made me remember that Miku's real name is Mika. She changed it so that people wouldn't mix it up with Misa.
I believe this was some sort of request from Saiki? Might explain why Kanami has said that, this was the hardest song she has composed? One of my faves, since it shows their restraint, and they never overdo things, but gives it just as much as it elevates the song. As in first verse Misa is doing her stuff, then in next Akane is taking the lead into Kanami, who all song just has let Miku take the rythm part. While she just has sprinkled the soundstage with U2'esque reverb. Just to get into one of her most emotional solos. There is a reason why i call her "the most unasuming guitarhero".
I just finished watching your reaction on Dimash, I didn't leave any comments, there were so many.. it would have been like a drop in the ocean. Watching reactions to Dimash and Band-Maid is fun. I saw S.O.S. by Dimash 3 years ago. The next Dimash song that I strongly suggest to you is Sinful Passion, it's a hard to believe song - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-W9FlDMCo8LU.html
Srsly, also queue up Blooming music video. It will blow you away. Disco high hat, rapping, awesome vocal harmonies, and dual bass+guitar solo at the same time. So. Awesome.
The "problem" is that Manners is so groovy, and groove is all about the empty space between notes. It's really tough to replicate that in a live setting. And Blooming is so fast and technical, not just the instruments but the vocals as well, perfecting it live is almost impossible.
Band Maid, Lovebites and (with a bit less consistency) Nemophila...when you start listening to them, you wait for the bad song, since even the best of composers has the occasional lemon -- well, as it turns out, not EVERYONE does. So you wait for the unarguably mediocre song...bring food, drink, and a long novel (or 50), since you may be waiting quite awhile...in fact, you may just die there...waiting...and waiting...and....
