He indeed has great vocal technique and what truly amazes me is that he didn't even start singing until he joined Big Hit Entertainment around age 20 (he's the oldest member and was studying to become an actor) but he worked his butt off to make up for it. I really admire his tenacity and will power.

Jimin's little vibrato on his lower notes is so unique and lovely. Jin has my fav voice, his range is otherworldly and he can sing ballads, rock, has a beautiful falsetto.

I'll never understand what some of these "fans" have against Jin. They just can't leave alone a comment praising Jin. As if praising him means disrespecting other members 🙄. It's everywhere. Like how can you compare someone who was 14/15 when he started learning to someone who was 19/20. It's common sense. There's nothing wrong with liking a member more than others, it's natural, but don't become so blind with that love that you forget common sense.

I recommend jins solo work Orig sound track for a k-drama YOURS it will showcase his versatility and range but its not live though. Jin is the one you mentioned you remember from Coldplay song and Jimin the other voice you talked about multiple times and said you liked and commented it could be mistaken for a woman, you are not the first to say it (and it is a compliment if anything). And this is a recent performance (2020), it is just a somber one and the video quality is not to good because it isn't BTS official video but a live performance and the broadcasting copy someone uploaded wasn't the best quality. BTS was just as good as they are now. Their debut was June 13, 2013. They celebrate their 9th year right now. You'll see videos named "Festa 2022" if you search YT. Festa is what they call their yearly debut celebration that goes on in june with lots of fun stuff coming out, old videos never seen like behind the scenes or dance practice, often a dinner when they talk and reminisce and a cover or new song for Army (the fanbase) and also pictures of the group like BTS "family portraits" every year now for nine years. Lots of stuff like that happens for Festa but varies a little from year to year. Festa 2020 they did a fun karaoke where rappers sang the vocalists songs or other rappers songs and vice versa + no one were allowed to sing their own songs and it was just for fun, none of them tried to sound good, just have a good time. Last year they also released a "Room Live" with them performing parts of songs from their long discography. Search Room live Festa 2021. They are releasing an anthology album called Proof now June 10th, 3 CD's with a "small" selection of their songs + unreleased demos of songs and 3 new songs too. p.s.BTS have 9 years since debut, released many albums, also some Japanese albums and on top of that solo mixtapes and covers and solo songs for free on Soundcloud, they have around 300 songs in their total discography. d.s.

7:26 brother, they debuted in 2013 and yes they've improved their singing massively since then, but that Coldplay cover didn't show their full vocal talent as much as their native Korean songs, they've sang way better in previous years to that 2021 cover. Their voices had already matured years before this performance of Your Eyes Tell or the Coldplay Cover - these songs are just hard to sing in general. They are extremely confident on stage and have been since debut, they just get into the message of the song and that's why they look more serene and sad in the Coldplay cover and this version of Your Eyes Tell, because they are sad songs.
His older version of BTS, seems like they have gotten better 🙄. They dress for the market they are singing to. I guess a little cultural knowledge would do him good. House of cards was earlier in their careers they showed a lot of confidence. The moment these guys hit the stage 2013 they have confidence and knowledge.. This is not the west..
I agree with your comment. What makes BTS great as a group is that they offer a wide variety of vocal tones and colors. And as pointed out by Suga, they dont invade each other’s space on stage, they dont try to outshine each other, they do their part very well.

This song was released in 2020 and that performance was also from 2020. You won't get a song where all guys sing together at the same time, you'll only get occasionally a harmony with 2 voices and it's usually Jungkook doing the harmony or adlib.

Jimin has the highest pitch in bts almost like a low registered female voice which is very unique I noticed in most of their Japanese songs, they have like a "cleaner" vocal like a more clear high pitch vocal which I really love (edit in music terms we call it " low registered female voice: meaning is his natural voice he can reach without any efforts like he can reach higher as well but we generally call it " low registered female voice" in music terms (his' voice can be much higher compared to many female singers" but his voice is what we call "low registered female voice" not "low" at all but that is the term if you know. and also why are you guys even fighting in the comments like all BTS members have very good voice. I'm not putting down any members because realistically Jimin do have the highest pitch voice Jungkook, Jin, and even V can also do very high pitch but they do it in falsetto but Jimin naturally have a natural high pitch meaning he can do it without any falsetto (AND once again NOTHING is wrong with that) and V I am so surprised with because he have a lower range but he also can reach very high normally in baritone voice you cannot reach that high. I say Jimin's voice is the highest because I compared all of the members and nothing is wrong with it Jungkook and Jin and even V are also very close. Every single member of vocal line has that high range ...jk , Jin n v all are very good in high ranges... K-pop idol are trained to be good at high ranges.....soo it's sooo normal for them........it's not big deal in K-pop....they all have it....but jk n v also have the lower insane range.....they both r really good at low n high range.....

the "fix you" performance was actually after this so their voices didn't develop from there, the perceived "lack of confidence" may have been due to the fact that it was in english and a cover. also not all of them are singers so if you want to hear songs with more harmonies check out the vocal line-only songs
Not an earlier performance just not such a good quality video. There are better versions out there. Also as it's so live you are going to have some variation between performances. Also note for the "lypsync" brigade that Japanese television has rules around "live" must be live not pre recorded live vocals. So if it's a Japanese performance of any band (not just BTS) those vocals are real.
