@@thatonepickle1857 we're not arguing in something that will be done! he already did it and he didn't use a fkn lawn mower, but in case he did and "He" only "He" said it just post the link
You absolutely need to check out his GDC talk. The entire thing is based on how he was forced into creativity in DOOM 2016 by a simple phrase: "No Guitars"
I have to mention that "The Icon of Sin" is the final boss track for Doom Eternal. It's not often reacted too, but it's perfect at projecting the scene of a Godzilla-like foe.
Mick's compressor is some wild stuff. If you ever used OTT, it's like massively cranked version of that - does both downwards and upwards compression, and he does like 50-60dB of dynamic reduction with it, effectively pushing the entirety of sounds into a flat line. Then you run something with reverb and whatnot into it and as it decays, it actually swells. It's wild. A thing of beauty.
The second half of this song is actually called Doom Hunted. The two songs and their respective levels actually come one right after another, as its kind of an extension of the aforementioned Cultist Base, so the person who mixed/edited this video kinda combined them together. Two of my favorites too tbh.
I loved how the person who uploaded this rip mixed up. It's such a shame we'll probably never get to hear Mick Gordon's final mix down release of Doom Hunted. It's one of my favs too.
Doom hunted is so unhinged. It’s a shame that it’s used so little in the game. That and mars core are definitely the most underrated tracks from the game.
I apologize, im gonna get weird here. This is my absolute favorite track. The first time I heard Cultist base it was visceral. I wanted to hear it so loud that it would throw me away, or blow me apart, just atomize me. I can't describe the way it makes me feel. A sonic assault that I want to give myself away to forever.
I know it's not technically Cultist Base, or a different mix of it I guess, but when I heard it in the official launch trailer I listened to it over, and over, and over. Just felt like I was vibrating and needed to go to the gym
Hello . Nice to meet you . I am a die-hard fan of Doom Eternal and I am very interested in his music, especially in the field of rock and metal. I really like your reactions to my favorites.❤❤❤
One thing that stands out about your content is that you actually talk about the musical composition, personally I prefer it over most of the “producers react” content where they just loosely talk about the music after soying for 40 seconds
7:48 is so insane it's part of another insane track(s) that is featured in ONE FRICKING SHORT ARENA ONLY in the whole game. It is called DOOM HUNTED and Doomed Hunter but do not mix those two with Doom Hunter which is cool but is not as insane as the the other two
Another try of getting you to watch Mick's GDC talk. In Doom 2016 there wasn't just one insane compressor, there were 2 chains of various stuff working effectively as compressors because input level is way more that they could bear, all to "corrupt" the source sine waves. And that's only half of the "Doom instrument"™
When she does I hope she listens to the "Geoffplaysguitar - PT-1X12 (Extended Version) [Atomic Heart]" uploaded by Сталкер. That version's audio quality is so much higher than the video by GWTC and also has a cleaner sounding intro. Plus it uses some bits from the official soundtrack added for example near the end so it's not a simple repeat of the song along the duration of the video.
I would love to see a reaction of yours to Amon Tobin’s soundtrack for Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory; while not as heavy or metal as this one, it’s quite an interesting and layered piece of music… In some of the tracks the bass is positively chunky, and some of its oppressive ostinatos work to great effect, besides the fact that Tobin is a master at working with beats on account of his earlier Jungle/DnB days. Also from him, I’d say Foley Room is his most interesting album, as it really does the title justice.
There are many other games with remarkable soundtracks such as Skyrim (Ancient Stones, Dragonborn's Theme song etc), Mass Effect (Leaving Earth, Omega DLC theme etc), Dragon Age (Leliana's song, Inquisition theme etc), The Witcher (Battle music from Assassin of Kings i.e 2, And 3 is filled with awesome music) and many more...
That ending portion is actually a whole new song entirely that Koma threw in there. It’s called doom hunted and it plays in the next level for only two arenas so most people don’t really know about it. It’s genuinely the most unhinged song in the game that was just a taste of it.
Hi, I have a suggestion for a reaction video. The soundtrack from Dunkirk called 'Supermarine' is one of the most cinematically awesome movie scores I've heard and I think you would appreciate it. The buildup is insane and it pays off so well. Sometimes I'll listen to it to work in 2x speed when I'm doing homework or chores lmao. Seriously though, I really think you should react to it. Hans Zimmer has some insanely good scores.
I think you should react to Ace Combat music some time. My favorite part is how all the sound tracks are so different from each other in each game. Where Zero will some times go for Spanish guitars and more of the honorable type music and then Assault Horizon will just randomly explode into the gnarliest hard rock guitar solo I’ve ever heard. Then there’s 7 with the more uplifting and epic music. It’s insane how many different genres they smash into each game and they all turn out so awesome
I love the sound track of lineage 2 , it's medieval music , more flute and instruments acustics and strighs , but if you wanted more sounds tracks to other games.
Not sure if it's said anywhere in the comments, but there are 0 guitars used in the composition of this track. It sounds like there are, but Mick has said there aren't. Nuts!
Do listen to "The only thing they fear is you" one of the best ones by mick gordan imo. Tho it's hard to find the original version and most of the stuff on yt is some version ripped from the game
I could recommend reacting to the Symphonic OST of Dragonquest XI Like Stake my life on it Endless battle Evil hands of shadows Bringer of the doom The Tower of Time
Noosphere - Warhammer 4000: Mechanicus How would you like to hear something unlike anything you've ever imagined? Church bells for mortar shells and the Gregorian tech priests of humanity's far future. It has floored other music content creators.
A few other Mick Gordon recommendations from DOOM (2016) that you may enjoy: 1. Mastermind 2. Vega Core 3. SkullHacker 4. Cyberdemon 5. Transistor Fist First two are probably my favorites from that game along Rip & Tear and BFG Division.
The music is even more insane when you're playing the game, only game i've played where i've turned the music UP. And once you've gotten too much play-time out of the game and moved on, you can still keep the music with you.
I didn't know that I was looking for *nrnrnrnnrnr* to describe Doom to an unknowning friend when they asked about "what's the OST all about". but now, I know and will spread the word. :)
Found your channel because of Destiny Music... but, I gotta say what probably everyone whoever sees you will say - you are gorgeous and such a happy smile :)
