I want to learn music production. I found a site called udemy, who are providing complete course online within a quite affordable price. But as far as I surfed through their site, all their courses are based on the platform logic pro x(if I'm not wrong). So can you Sir, please suggest me whether logic pro x is a good enough DAW or not and whether it is user friendly or not?

The best part of you is the humanity behind you is telling the youth in terms of their financial conditions in persuing music as their career. This is the best part cos youth now a days just blankly jum into music so on ..without even thinking about their financial conditions dropping their basic studies. And at the end may not meet their needs in music and at last end up wr their family suffers.

I've been through that phase, and I was lucky that I didn't commit a blunder at crucial stage of my career, it would've put me at least 5-6 years back in my journey, most Musicians can't survive such setback, hence I'm trying my best to spread awareness, and my target audience is middle class/lower middle class as I also come from that background and can relate with them. I concur with your statement. Sound engineering is different domain altogether. I am a sound engineer. I design studios, theatres etc. with the help of engineering skills, which primarily involves mathematics and physics. Sound engineer should also know about video engineering as well, because as a sound engineer alone you can't survive more in the industry. This field also have a subfield which is called as Audio-Visual automation. Here you can automate Audio-Visual devices with the help of your programming/logic skills.

Hello Darshit. Thanks for the advice. I want to do what i love to do. I have spent 4 years on preperation on Banking examinations. But dint get any job bcoz i really dint want to do that. Since i want to learn music, i thought first i get a govt job and then i will learn music and earn money from that but that dint happen unfortunately. I am a singer and guitarist. My age is 26 now. Now how can i grow in music and earn money.

Bro I'm 30, At your age I was also doing a job, but side by side I've been building my RU-vid channel, & growing not only as a musician but also as a freelancer that I could quit my job 2 years back. The point is, today we can do both the things simultaneously, have a day job & build a social media following by doing music, once it reaches a level where we see earning potential, we can dive in full time, expecting a regular income from music right from day one will be putting unnecessary pressure on yourself. If you find such opportunity then great, otherwise as I did, work, earn, have your own setup so you can regularly create your own videos, this will take time but it's going to lay a foundation for long term success if you're good and persistent.

Sir I really inspired when you said, the things i am going through right now, mein bhi ek musician hun aur recently meine bhi home studio banye hai, abhi tak meine room acoustic bhi nhi kiya hai, start up k liye meine Focusrite solo 2nd gen purchase kiye hai. Sometimes I stucked into my mixing amd mastering jo ki meine bht padhai karke youtube mein videos dekh k sikhe hai, toh avi ek do clients k project bhi kr rhe hai. Iss video ko dekh k mere andar ka Sound Engineer na hone ka guilt feeling chala gaya Yani, mein ek music production artist ban ne k liye life lead kr rha hun .. thank you so much sir...

pleasure bro, yehi purpose hai videos banane ka, kaam wohi seekho jo 1st interest ho, aur jitne paise invest kar sakte ho without putting unnecessary burden on ourselves or our parents, and it doesn't mean we can't get better at mixing & mastering ever on our own, it might not be perfect but we can get good enough to start earning as a producer, and keep learning more side by side, getting better at it with each project.

I have been dabbling in music production on/off for almost 4 years now, and have been working seriously since the last 1 1/2 months to improve my craft and try to create a career out of it. I have been watching tutorials and music production related videos for a very very long time, but never have I seen someone as thorough and insightful as you. The topics that you are exploring are ones that I haven't seen many people talk about and it is so good to see someone from India do this type of work for the community. It is so important to understand that learning to create music is just one piece of the puzzle if the end game is to create a fanbase and actually market yourself. Wow. That's a really useful research by you. Thanks for sharing. My situation is very much similar to yours. Only Difference is I am doing Chartered Accountancy so I have no Physics/Technical knowledge. I have written and composed many songs and I want them to reach people. So I was thinking of joining any Music Institute for 1 year after my CA so that I can learn Music Production and produce my own songs. I too want to be an Independent freelancer having my own Studio. But I'm really concerned about the fact that what if my songwriting skills one day fade away. What if I won't get any more ideas on songwriting. So please can you tell me that as a freelancer what kind of work you get. What kind of clients you deals with and how much can we earn in this business?

I am from Maldives. Great video. I'm a keyboardist and songwriter, and also have knowledge of music theory. I want to make my own songs so need to learn music production. The problem is that, like you said, the courses are just too expensive. So I did some searching and found the Music Production graded course by Rockschool, which they say is designed by industry professionals. What is your opinion on that? Is that worth considering, especially when you will get to learn everything systematically and step by step?
