A whole lifetime of collectables. My life has been measured by what I have given away. Two marriages and 7 sons. A lot of sports memories with my boys. Of course my job was not glamorous in any way. I ran a laboratory at a big chemical factory. You lived a great life my friend. Music looks to be a big part of your life. My records were my get away through out my life. Many concerts and later when I retired I created the Michigan Record Club. In fact, I have a record convention to do Saturday (with much help now due to my health). Thank you Mazzy for the wonderful tour. You are a good man. Bill
So, so nice place, especially because it smells music all over. The records, the music related books, the dvds, the cds... and everything organized and displayed with mucho gusto. Cheers, Nelio.
Mazzy this is just flat out AMAZING!!!! Best music room/areas in the entire VC without question!!! You HAVE to have me over my friend!!!!! This is just wonderful!!! ....and thanks for working in "Godsmack" when you were talking about my video as they are my favorite band lol. Well Gobsmacked is close enough lol. Of course I did all the musical elements, but also the modern decor is beautiful my friend. Those prints in the kitchen really popped and that Bob S. Gold record given to you is priceless.
mrhoffame thank you Brandon you really inspired me to do a full in showing. I love Your setup and watched your tour several times. So great and intense. If you ever make it out to Seattle you are so welcome 🎸🥁✌🏽
Very nice room tour. That was a impressive Beatles collection. I enjoyed the whole video and was really excited to see you show off that Dual CS 5000 turntable. I have that exact same one. Mine still looks and sounds as good as the day I took it out the box. Your the first one that I’ve seen in the VC have one. Again, great video
Hi Mazzy, I'm playing catch up on your videos. What an amazing room tour, the presentation is brilliant. I'm a big Beatles fan but your Beatles collection to die for. Thanks so much for sharing. Cheers...
What a great set up! Love your content as it never fails to put a smile on my face....Originally I am from Seattle so there is a bit of nostalgia for me seeing the places that you visit....Keep up the great work Mazzy, it is greatly appreciated!
My ears perked up when you mentioned the Dual CS 5000. I just bought new, no kidding, never used, the Dual CS 708q. It is new in the original box, and everything was wrapped. I am amazed that prices for Duals have not gone up as much as other classic turntables. But, man what a collection of vinyl. My prize is my signed Ramones. I waylaid them at Vinyl Fetish in L.A. in the 80s at the store on Melrose and got them all to sign the To Tough to Die album. Thanks for the tour. And, I have subscribed.
Incredible tour! That Rotel is a beast of an amplifier, and the L100s are beautiful. One of my favorite things about living alone is that my 'music room' is my entire living space. You've designed the ultimate living space for a complete and total music nerd. From the records and books to the photography and carpeting(is that FLOR? My whole place is covered in FLOR!) it's perfect. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the tour! It's a great use of space and you've really thought out the placement of everything even down to the chachkies. You don't need me to tell you that you have an amazing collection but you really do have an amazing collection! I really enjoyed this!
Loved every minute of that tour, thanks so much. I was pleased to see you pull out that Enoch Light ‘Spaced Out’ album as I bought a copy only a few weeks ago.
Kimba, well if not actually ‘cool’ I do feel a little cooler now I see that Mazzy has it too! Hopefully you’ll get a copy as it’s well worth seeking out.
Wow! Norman awesome room tour love you house his a musicquarium that vinyl room is a place I would setup shop all day that Beatles collection is very extensive and also other genres love it I watched this 4 times love that rotel rega and B&W setup you have impeccable taste I love when people listen to everything you have a great 👂for music thanks for sharing you home music tour awesome speechless OCD is always good .lovellandrew
Wow! Wow! Awesome! So much music and memorabilia, where to begin? Can I visit I would clean and organize while listening to your amazing collection. Thanks for sharing.
I'm geeking out... 🤗 I like how you have a few records on hand to pick from. I'm transforming my office into my record room but I have a toddler who gets into everything so it's been tricky 😆 love the artwork on the wall!
Mazzy, just wanted to say "solid" on the tour. I dig the way you combine your loves-graphic design, photography, music among them-presenting a picture that says "no regrets". I'm a jealous music lover on the East Coast, and hope you can find the time to enjoy(some of)your collection. BTW, I have a "now spinning" stand on order from the SF design studio you mentioned. Thanks for the heads up. Ok,now dig out a copy of the Clarke-Boland Big Band (lp or cd) "Music For Films"(?) and dig "Saxology". Swingin!! Thanks again...
Beautiful layout. My pad is an abbreviated version. You have great taste in music and room design! Love the Grace Slick portrait. I noticed in your CD drawers you still have the original issue Beatles. I still have mine as well. Haven’t played them since 2009🤓. But over the summer I tossed a few in my truck for road listening. They don’t sound bad at all. Loved the tour. When can I come over? I’ll wear white gloves🤓. Cheers!
My son had the original b&w Beatles/Richard Avedon photo from Look magazine framed for me several years ago for my birthday. I have it hanging over my bed. Also have a Beatles room that has spilled over into my exercise room (spare bedroom)
Hi. Question: Of an album you have multiple versions and formats, how you decide witch one to listen? Did you go by the best sound or just like to listen to a specific one? Great tour btw
Wow! That was some tour. Even more incredible than I thought it was going to be. That Rega turntable looks awesome, along with those speakers (B&O? was that it?) The highlight for me is probably the photo with Ringo...
@@SDsailor7 The record shelves are a IKEA line called BONDE. Unfortunately they discontinued them about a decade ago. I like them more than the KALLAX line because they look more finished and have backs. Thanks for watching and commenting .
Hi Mazzy, great to finally see the music rooms. Nice thing of working at home you can play a lot of music. Tell me about the Analog Africa series. What label is putting it out? Can you find them in the stores or do you have to order it? I would really love to delve into that series. Thanks for taking me around.
Vinyl Community- Steve Carlson Analogue African is a German label. They have a website. I think they also sell through Bandcamp. I occasionally see some of their titles in stores but they seem to be limited runs. Beautiful packaging
Nice system, and it looks very familiar. (Hoffman forum?) The video conveys everything much better. Some VERY interesting album covers there. Love the pics and artwork. Impressive vinyl collection.
And welcome back too you Norman....thanks for the responce....enjoy your great music setup.....Simply Fantastic....thanks....rick....from Quebec City Canada.
Hey Mazzy, Wow, another great video! Where did you find the beautiful media console below the tv? Is it from West Elm? ...also LOVE that Naguchi table!
I really enjoy and learn a lot from your vids. You have turned me on to some great jazz that I never listened to before. Real fan of the Tone Poet’s. I just was made redundant due to the virus so I decided to Take early retirement (almost 60). I have always dabbled in photography and would like to send you one you may like. I found a old community center ln rural Arkansas. There was a old upright piano in it on a stage. I borrowed a bunch of instruments from a antique shop and set up a a stage. I call it Break Time. I will send you a thumbnail if you would like. I just want to send you something for thanking you for your video’s. Mark
Hi Mazzy, did I get it right that you have a Hana cartridge? Which one and which phonopre are you using? Currently I am looking for a new one. Thank you very much
There was so many things I could comment "wow, that was cool" or "I'd like to have that also". So I just say this, "You have nice looking home". mr. Finglish (Bäd English Recs)
Impressing collection, I also have a lot of Beatle stuff. But my question is: were are the Rolling Stones and Mick Jagger solo? Ok a saw in an other vid one box with Stones records ... without comment??
Wow, this is great...you can tell you really put a lot of thought into every part of styling your home. I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind sharing where you purchased the record crate/holders that you show here - the ones holding your bachelor pad records for example. I really like the minimalism of those. Thanks for sharing. Take care.
Mazzy can you recommend a cd player. What would you buy, if you had to buy one tomorrow. Also, would you add an external dac to it? Thanks for your time.
