How good are these guys? The fun & energy in this is infectious. This was done during quarantine so none of the guys were even together. The editing of this was great & was done in the Tik Tok style. Love all the guys parts, with Tim's rumbling bass underlying it all. And Adam's beatboxing is phenomenal as always including sea swells & castanets. Amazing how he increased the tempo from one song to another.

When the pandemic hit, they each ordered home equipment so that they could continue putting out music from their homes. My favorite album of theirs is the Sounds of Lockdown one, where they put all their remotely made music together. Some of my favorite songs came out of that time period.

Tim's bass gets me every time. That guy bottoms out in the boots with that low bass. I think you'd enjoy listening to a pretty famous violinist, who is also an excellent dancer (she came in 2nd place in the 25th season of Dancing with the Stars) who plays while doing it, Lindsey Stirling. The song I'd suggest starting with would be either Shatter Me, with Lzzy Hale from Halestorm as the vocalist, or one of her first, if not her first song, Crystallize. That one is a full instrumental song. I hope you enjoy it.

Adam with those castanets and the sea spray hitting the ship as it cuts through the water just blows me away! The toms are amazing, too! 😳🤯👍💕🔥 The harmonies from these guys is definitely the best in the business. Sheesh 🎶❤

Absolutely done during the pandemic. Each member did his part at home. You mentioned the clarity of Tim’s voice. He can ACTUALLY SING with a melody, and understandable diction, even adding a vibrato, at sound-system destroying lows. Many other bass singers become rather muddy as they go for those lows, and are singled out to show a single “gimmicky” bass note to impress. Adam Rupp, the “Beat Boxer” …. well he’s just not human! If Tim impresses you, check his cover single of “Will you still love me/ Stay” mashup. Tim has a 5+ octave range, and sings ALL parts. Using multiple tracks of himself, he is the only voice and sound that you hear!

Great reaction! This is one of my favourite Melodies they do.Adam has been beatboxing for about 22 yrs and he’s says he’s always learning how to do new sounds and improving old ones some of the sounds he makes now are crazy.Tim’s range is incredible from how low his bass is to how high he can sing

The talent and skills of Home Free are almost supernatural. They sound phenomenal every time out of the gate. Beat boxing wasn't on my radar until I discovered these guys and now I find myself listening specifically for Adam's performances. There are many video's on You Tube of the drum solos he does at every concert. The one that really showcases his raw talent and skill is the one from 2015 (red plaid shirt). He's only gotten better since then. I enjoyed your reaction, it was great!

Takes a trained vocalist, musician to pick the complexity and details that most of us miss. Their scenery, videos also have so much to add which means you have concentrate and watch 6-10 times to appreciate.

The tight harmonies and timing are even more amazing when you realize they were not physically together -- in Tennessee, Minnesota and California, to be specific! Yes, this was during Covid so they weren’t together. Tim didn’t move much as he was standing in a boat. Ha! Chance (first singer) is a fan of sea shanties and brought the idea to the boys. You’re one of the first reactors to know those were castanets Adam was doing. Amazing isn’t it?! The boys really did a lot of songs during the pandemic that saved me. They really kept the content up. To see them at their homes you could try Sunday Best. It shows some of their partners, kids and animals. Lots of fun! If you like bass, try I Can’t Outrun You, Brothers in Arms, Hillbilly Bone. Enjoy!

Yes, this is a lockdown video. You would really like their version of "I still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For " with Peter Hollin. Another lockdown video with the wonderful addition of patreon recordings and videos added in. So glad you noticed Adam's "casta-nots". They sound just as good live. As does his "no-monica"😅

It was made during the quarantine. They made studios in their closets in their own homes and talked to their producer like they would have in a studio. They did a good job of keeping us entertained during those times and dropped a lot of music. The videos were very creative too in how it was all put together.

Not sure all the guys built their recording studio in their closets. Chance did because he lived in a tiny apartment and needed a room he could somewhat soundproof so Sami didn't have to spend hours tiptoeing around the place. But the other guys' living situations were different.

Home free just released “skull and bones”. Its a sea shanty written by chance frim HF. It was in partnership witb ubisoft for their relase of theor game also called “skull and bones”

Yup, during the pandemic, so they had to scrounge their own costumes and props. You can tell who really loves playing dress-up and who lived in a tiny apartment without much room for extra clothing.

This song is so much fun. All of the guys did an amazing job of the mix of songs. One of the funnier things about this song is that Tim is standing in a small boat. He needed to be careful. 😊 Thanks for a great reaction.

Even more amusingly, a small boat in his brother-in-law's yard in Nashville. Why there? Because his brother-in-law was storing the boat for a friend of his. What friend? Why, Chance, of course, who lives in California. I can't imagine the neighbors' mystification -- especially when you consider that they could likely only hear Tim's bass. Imagine looking at your neighbor's yard and there's a strange man dressed as Capt Jack Sparrow, standing in a small boat with a tripod precariously balanced while he croaks out a bass line.

OH BOY !! You haven't even touched the truly EPIC stuff that these guys do. You really need to get busy and these guys will be one of your top favorites. Check out Tim Foust and Peter Hollens "Misty Mountain" and keep a close eye on your screen at the end of the song as Tim hits the lowest note. Tim has been known to blow speakers with his low notes. So, check out "Mayday", "Land of the Free", "Life is a Highway" ,"When a Man Loves a Woman", "Brothers in Arms"... I could go on for days and not list them all. Suffice it to say just check out EVERYTHING you can from them. You wont be disappointed.

I watched a video of Adam Rupp explaining what he does and apparently he adds all of the beat boxing last, so the rest sing their parts without the beat very interesting!
