It's what I've done for a year now, but I was just using loops, I have like 30 songs on this channel now, and I'm proud of many and now that i have an understanding of making beats going to make my own fully and hopefully sell them.

I very rarely write comments, but OMG, cannot stress enough how helpful it was to find your series of music theory! After different teachers trying to explain scales, and chord progressions, after reading different blogs, and watching different RU-vid videos, and online courses, it is FINALLY becoming clear to me after your videos. Everything makes SO MUCH sense and it is amazing to see how you use it in practice right away. I'm sitting with my notebook, making notes on every video. So excited to watch further. My vote is definitely for rhythm, ear training is of course super important, but I feel rhythm always gets overlooked when it comes to learning. Would be great to hear what you've got to say. Keep up the great work!

We are unschoolers and our son wanted to learn more in depth about music. He's at about the same age I was when I joined band and started learning theory. It's incredible to see how much more he is picking things up while watching your videos than from what I am teaching him from books and my high school and college music course and marching band/orchestra experiences (and having much more fun!). coming from the guitar with basic music theory knowledge, your video series blew my mind in the last days! I learned how to find chords, invert them, make them sound sexier than ever and I actually understood more of music theory than in the last 15 years of playing guitar. Taetro I feel so much better about music theory now bc of you, thank you. I've wanted to create beats for awhile now and I finally started a month ago, I was originally avoiding music theory bc I thought that wasn't needed that much since I wasn't really planning on playing an instrument. I just want to make beats in a DAW with maybe a small MIDI controller, but watching these videos is gonna help me allot in the future.

I've had a Minilab MKII in my cart for a week or two but I'll be pulling the trigger after watching the first 3 parts back to back. Listening to you talk about your water-color hobby also helped. I want to learn a play simple tracks to relax and create. Cheers!

Thank you for your time and effort making these. This series has been my absolute favorite music theory "courses" on RU-vid. Everything clicks to me because you only present the content in a PRACTICAL way, using simple terms as substitutions. I.e. key signatures. I watched 5 videos on key signatures, and none of them explained WHY or HOW they are used in plain terms. You showed how to use key signatures the entire series without having to even touch or look at notation and getting confused about sharps/flats on a staff.

This was good, totally practicing with the last lessons and I feel more confident little by little with the scales and keys on an actual keyboard and also the DAW. This one helps bunches to polish my chords and melodies. Next should be rhythm, is kinda hard or at least not getting how it should be done with the chords when trying to do something more housy dance thingy or make my Lofi not sound like all the same. Thanks for this lessons T , and nice paintings keep it up

Crazy advanced stuff to pack in one lesson but man it's a good feeling of progress just to get through a part of it. Very difficult though. Sucks learning music as a declining adult, but still worth it.

I stumbled on this channel via Taetro's review of an obscure midi controller. His presentation style was so captivating, that had to dig into the rest of the content, and stumbled on this Music Theory series. I came from the POV of knowing music theory already, but I'm always curious how others teach it. It is so refreshing to see someone teach it without jumping into a DAW and piano roll and teach it on the actual instrument and theory applied to the instrument. GREAT content and very valuable to beginners and also veterans who need a reminder of not relying on your DAW too much. :)

I watched all this and previous videous numerous times and i still get mad when i cant handle it. But i also know that it is not something to rush and it takes time and practice to not even to comprehend fully, but even start understanding. It has a logic, it has a progress and it has relational rules between chords. It is not over though, i will start from very beginning if i am to learn this before everything. This was my lifelong dream and finally started with these serie and luckily found you who really good at teaching in my opinion. There are a lot to learn. I got ableton, i got launchkey mk3 and a long way ahead of me. After these i am going to start your skillshare serie too. No quitting i even love messing up. It's just a kind of madness to love something this much.

I think this series has been perfect so far. Rhythm might be a good next one, even though it won't be as helpful for me personally. I would really like to see more on how to build songs with chords. I don't think ear training will make as good of a next video.

Just started watching the video, but I think that next installment should be about ear training. At least for me, rhythm is easier to understand by myself. Ear training I don't even know where to start. I mean, everytime that you are producing, you are trainig your ears, but how do I train consciously? Sorry if my english is bad, much love from Brazil!

Loving these videos just binge watched the other 2 and learned how to actually play piano at 7am lmao, personally would love to see some stuff about rhythms because right now I'm making house or something similar and I always find myself using the same rhythms
