Very nice clock, as usual! That song is usually played by japanese clocks as far as I know( fun fact, there is factory that is a subdivision of Rhythm, I think, that is called "Small World") , but I have never heard it on a mechanical clock.
Hah. My grandfather's one has the same tunes. Disney cuckoo clocks ha ha! This one would appear to be a Hones clock. Hones made their own dancers and birds, largely did their own work. Not like the long gone Hubert Herr Uhrenfabrik, who made their own mechanisms. I own 3 clocks from the Herr factory, including one made just after World War I. I am looking at getting a far earlier one with bone hands and 2 gongs(not saying I will, but I plan to). Oh and yes, MMDigest is a very reliable source devoted solely to mechanical music and it most likely covers almost everything one would ever want to know about any mechanical music machine they may have. I usually look on it for Wurlitzer Band Organ research.
Very cool and I like how it does play It's a Small World. I also noticed it's in place of where the Reproduction Verge and Foliot clock once hung. What happened to that clock?
This is such a great addition! I love it! I actually have a cuckoo that has a similar (maybe the same) wood chopper. Mine doesn’t play music but the wood chopper does move his arm to the cuckoo :). Great addition as always and take care!
