Tiffany Poon, we are all on your team. Thank you for creating, sharing and producing your cinema/videos. It makes us see and hear your beautiful music and being.
Your debut album has already garnered 8 five-star reviews on on both Amazon UK & DE, and 11 (eleven!) five-star reviews on Amazon US! I've never seen such immediate (and deserved!) success from ANY other young-&-up-&-coming classical pianist before - not Bavouzet, Lisiecki or even Andsnes! - but there's a very good reason for that: When a truly wonderful human being plays the music of another truly wonderful human being - very beautifully - inevitable good things are bound to happen. I have very much enjoyed living with and loving your Schumann performances, Tiffany, and can only imagine that equally imaginative, sensitive and personal explorations of Schubert, Beethoven and Brahms are not long in coming. All the best from chilly Finland! Mike D.
Hi Tiffany, People like you make the world a better place to live in. I know, those are some big cliché words, but that's how I feel about it. I'm so glad that I could contribute to your efforts in another way than just listening/watching and liking your videos. So now, I'm hoping that soon, I'll be able to see you in concert somewhere in Europe, or even better, not too far from northern France, and maybe, if I'm lucky, get an autograph on my CD. Don't forget to relax, recharge your batteries, and nurture your soul.
What a joy to see you and hear you on this Easter Sunday! This video is so much fun. I love the Hong Kong flat - noodles dish "Chow Fun" too. And I understand how you felt when you seemed unable to find the right Chinese words because I left H. K. some 5o some years ago. I received your CD "Diaries: Schumann" more than a month ago and I play it almost every morning. The beautiful piano notes from your magical fingers are like a bright spirit which set the right mood for my day. I am very grateful. Thank you Tiffany.
Enjoyed this vlog very much. It’s not only about the music but always colored with daily life, whether it is the early morning coffee and breakfast or packing or looking at birds, the water, the trees, squirrels and the sky, or shopping for specific items, or about the acoustics of the venue-all those details add to each vlog. In this one, I can’t believe that the dish you talked about- “goin chow ngao haw” (I apologize for the pin yin attempt) is the go-to dish for me in every new Chinese restaurant we try. It has been one of my favorite dishes since I was growing up. It has to look and taste a certain way for it to be authentic and satisfying. I loved the moment with the pigeons, the selfie with your friends and when they were putting up the Schumann Diaries sign on the window. Oh and the “In and Out” burger - one of my other favorites that I miss being on the east coast now-Thanks for sharing this beautiful experience with us! 🎵🎹❣️
I find the irony of you now slightly struggling with Cantonese rather amusing given that you recounted your initial struggles with English when you first came to the US. But at least you got to practice it there and reinforce your connection with your roots (along with the food, haha). The park looks like such a great spot to unwind, as it's so scenic. Pairing it with an art museum visit is surely a great way to gain more wholesome inspiration. Also, what a lucky capture with those pigeons. I've yet to see that myself.
That park is on the grounds of the city owned Lincoln Park public golf course. There are two holes in particular that have probably the best views of any course (outside of Pebble Beach) in the country.
The interview in Cantonese was... cute 🤣. Thank you for sharing slices of your life, as a classical pianist and as yourself! Love your music and your work as always! 💪
Looks like you had a welcome and productive sojourn to SF. With so much happening, you must have to take some deep breaths these days. The NY Album event was a joy for us fans as well! Wish I could always experience music in such a setting. A new project? Keep growing. Excited to hear all about it and to hear you in concert soon! As always ❤
I come back here again and again for Tiffany the classical human and classical pianist, and the music and exploration of, but what makes my day it's the red and yellow spring flowers and the lovely pigeons having a date inmidst of the flowers. Exactly these colors are precious childhood memories.
I’ve not followed your progress for a couple of years, but I’m so pleased to see how well everything is going, congratulations! You’ve worked incredibly hard Tiffany.
Good to watch Tiffany again. You are tough talking by my standards ! Out on the streets of San Francisco and New York. I worked near China town , London years ago with Film and Music industry Offices and venues in the same area. Warner Brothers across the road and the 'Marquee' venue along the road. Chinese on the street signs. Great to have you along !
Sorry... I didn't post it anywhere. I just thought it was a kind of small Steinway RSVP event with limited capacity. Don't think we could have fit more people... Stay subscribed with notifications on for future events :)
Given how observant and thoughtful you are, I almost want to say it would be just as fun to go to the art store with you as it would be to the art museum. I'm glad it was a good trip.
Your interview reminded me of a co-worker I had who was born in Nice, France, and lived there until 4th grade, when her family moved to the states. She told me that although she was fluent in French, it was mainly little-kid French, and not so much adult-level French. Great video as always!
Watching your videos makes me think I'm your age again. I know it's not so. I still try to play piano -- but I'm 72 years old. I will keep striving -- like you say. You are right. If we stop striving, it's over. I work at learning Beethoven, Brahms and Mozart. I'm retired, but I don't stop. Thank you for inspiring me. I will keep striving to play the piano and write books. I will keep going on and keep striving.
Thanks Tiffany with us, I am keen on cooking food. I am vegetarian. Looked very sunny on your museum visit. The large round halls reminded me of the Vatican museum in Rome, where one room has a bowl large enough to serve a few thousand ! You look wonderful and very shapely on your piano stool, dare I say so ! Enjoyed hearing your Cantonese telephone meeting. Your personality shines through.
Oh my goodness! I live in Walnut Creek. I had no idea you were here. I’m walking distance from the Steinway Gallery. 😭😭 I hope you had a wonderful time while you were here.
I replied to your message because I like your performance a lot and follow your videos, and as you mentioned about Chinese food in this video, so other than hope your team can arrange having concert in Vancouver and by the way to mention the food in Vancouver. My point is not just food. Primary is about the concert in Vancouver.
Love to hear you speaking in Cantonese! You did great in Cantonese and by watching you eat makes me feeling like ordering Chinese take out now (it is bedtime in Toronto). Hope you will touring in Canada soon!
Oh golly Tiffany, I understand, I really do. I could listen to you playing anything, I don't care who has written it. It will be, and is, exquisite. I'm never disappointed in the sound that comes through your fingers..straight from your heart.
@@TiffanyPoonpianist Well you know what they say; it is never too late to start :P though I bet that you'd be really good at it if you tried. You've played enough music that you've probably internalized many of the mechanics and ideas, even if without studying composition formally
Perhaps you should consider having a secretary with you - a good musical-minded person who can help and solve all your practical problems during your concert tours. And besides you will have a travel mate. Probably expensive but you deserve it. And thanks for sharing. Best wishes for you.
Inspirational as always! SF Chinatown is the first in the States. So can’t go wrong trying out different places or surrounding area next time. Your Cantonese is not bad “humble” 😎 And, TY for the pen… 🖊️
Whoa, Tiffany Poon, you've got a friend and an uncle in me. I can prove it. I understand your depression and can help you feel better. Please take me seriously. There are no rules into who you can talk to on the internet. I just want to help you find a wonderful life and help your dreams come mostly true.
My fav Hk flat noodles dish , so much so that I can even order it in Cantonese ☺️😉 I prefer it dry than wet but but both are a delicacy to me even tho they are ordinary dishes.
great that you find your comforting food before concerts...I am a musicia n too- BUT are you always get delivery in new plasic bowls, or is there a recycling system? Otherwise , make your own sandwich or go out to a restaurant..mas we needed and liked to do and I am still to doing to not depend on delivery waste plastic
😄 Tell me this is an April fool's gag... you didn't seriously come in this comments section to admonish Tiffany on her plastic usage, then instruct her to make her own sandwiches while on business travel!?
english is my native language my mother and father are Italian american they could speak both languages I wish I could speak Italian at least but I can sing Italian ,French , German ,and Latin no Russian thank you .
you need an actual bow tie to complement that top. not a racist proximity lesson that's never ending. cough, cough, whiteout, where's my thought? like the depth of a rabbit hole in need of stopping on going, it's a bow tie for sure that'll stop the dismay. not a knotted cravat, not a neck tie, a plain old symmetrical knot to adorn the beauty of the slenderest neck that was born to support the head of a kinda cute pattern maker of musical notes. peace and good fortune to you Tiff P
If it us,so in cheh same project was in end20 era,and begin film was by my, history excursion,invasion?-nobut no strand-adventisment me toll what me to do(I yet so done..
Oh Tiffany, sometimes you appear so lonely😢 I would love to be your assistant, making sure your outfits are ready. Fixing your hair, applying your makeup. It would be fun and helpful to you I think. Maybe one day you will enjoy having an assistant and traveling companion, just someone to talk with instead of traveling alone. Thank you for your videos. I am a very late piano student but I can say I've enjoyed my journey and your videos have encouraged me greatly, to just enjoy the process. Please be careful Tiffany while traveling.
Meanness not (I think you of me) but bemark early(as fingers of prison,)around here so piopal, lider gade, and was before wishen my froiding was before(thay bad and music is to press if no proffesion-yet no..
Huh??? no its not! i love it sm cuz its like a lil intro/theme song to her vlogs, stop hating…u legit didnt have to comment this, im pretty sure she doesnt care what anyone thinks of how she chooses to do things so ur comment is irrelevant anyway 🥰
