Musical Theater Academy of Orange County staged a production of Alice In Wonderland for 10-12 year olds. This video is from the Saturday matinee performance, June 28, 2014.
Wow this was amazing! Everyone was so good and very enthusiastic. The sets and costumes were amazing as well as the choreography, and everyone had amazing voices!
Oh my god! This musical is absolutely FLAWLESS! I did not waste my time watching it. My school is doing the Alice in Wonderland musical, so I was looking for inspiration, and inspiration I found! I'm actually going to be Alice. Thank you for putting this on RU-vid! I love it!
i feel like the best part about this musical is that everyone eventually has attention on them! some musicals have lots of extras and ansambal but here everyone eventually have some sort of speaking part (: the play i'm doing is mulan and 3/4 of the people in it don't haves single line
Chloe Craft TV at my school we did auditions during school (as well as practices) and my entire class got in. when we did this we got 3 weeks off school so we could practice. i was backstage but my job wasn't very important so i basically missed three weeks if school for nothing :D
Best Alice in wonderland I've seen!!!!! The others were so not interesting. Because the actors weren't interested! I could definitely tell everyone cared about their parts without being TO into it. I don't like the movie (it's terrible I know) but I LOVED the play. This one in particular. If you didn't post this play, I would have never liked Alice in wonderland. Thank you Jeff Lorenzini!!!
I wish my teachers would let us do this 😭 I have a retired music teacher that’s now running our community theatre kids program, and she just does musicals we already did at school
Elizabeth Arzate I was a flower girl, the lead tulip, one of the squirrels, and one of the croquette (hedgehog) balls (the queens ball to be specific).
I'm doing one and Alice gets in trouble for bullying so she has to stay at her grandmas place and finds a record player and its songs is telling the story
my school was going to do this but we are broke and stuck with mulan jr, our teacher said the costumes would have been too much but honestly the costumes seemed pretty basic and simple to make. i would much rather be doing this!!!
Who else is going to audition for Alice in wonderland And needs to know more about it Edit: never mind it might not be on because of the corona virus 😢😭😰
Emily Langley i’m really hoping my musical director will listen to my request to do this show. We usually do auditions in November and the show in Febuary. I’m really hoping we can do it next year. i’m sorry yours got canceled🙁
It shows lots of the characters before Alice visits wonderland. For example Alice's mother is the Queen of Hearts and Dina, Alice's cat is the Cheshire Cat 🐱.
How did you get the script? I've been trying to find it to read to make sure I have the amount of kids to do it. I LOVE this version and don't want to do any other. But I just want to read the script, lol!
What is the publisher of this version? I'm a director and looking for a good version of Alice to do with my high school, but I can't find this version.
Tim Nelson wrote it! He has been the head of the Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts (APA) program, and also the Rose Center Theater in Westminster, which happens to be where this production was performed.
