@@aperson5261 basically “ooooo” with a straw in your mouth look up “singing straw” on yt she’s the creator of it but u can really use any straw. Hope this helps
Yes! I was lucky enough to see her in Tootsie last year. She has such a unique and distinct voice and her acting is on point. Definitely one of my favorite broadway actors.
@@mars-nf9cj I haven't seen it but the plot is about a man dressing up as a woman because apparently it will further him in his career. I've been told by those who have seen it it's full of transphobic and homophobic jokes. It also won 2 Tony's.
Yk what I wonder? Why does every musical song has to be vocally challenging? Can you list me one broadway production that only has songs that are in a normal person's vocal range? Sori foar my bad inglish
Yeah... mostly all Broadway songs are really difficult, but Be More Chill actually has a lot of songs that aren't toooo difficult if you are looking for songs to sing. (At least for me- I'm an alto btw.) Ireland from Legally Blonde is also nice; it doesn't go up that high. 🙃
Depends on your voice what you consider easy to sing :) I can imagine that some songs from Spring Awakening could be good since the range isn't as wide as some other musical theatre songs (Mama who bore me and whispering for example), also maybe some songs from Fun Home are probably in a comfortable range for a mezzo or maybe also alto (Maps, Ring of keys for example). More often than not there are some songs that are not too crazy even in vocally demanding shows. I'm not that girl from wicked comes to mind. :) These songs are mostly in chest voice and not too crazy when it comes to belting. :) For me it's easier to sing soprano songs but these songs don't have a such a range to them and crazy belting which makes them quite comfortable to sing. ^^
I do love Katie Stevens, but it's definitely bad casting. The role of Nadia should be played by a bigger actress, plain and simple. Katie would have made an excellent Ivy, though.
