Musician Builds an Off Grid Log Cabin in the Woods 

He seems like the kinda guy you just immediately get along with and have a great time hanging out with him, such a cool and a nice guy with the amazing log cabin to go with.

I'm building my cabin in the woods in BC mountains, the most rewarding, exciting, inspiring thing I've ever gotten into, absolute joy. I rush to it every weekend, one step at a time, just a matter of time until it's my fulltime home. Really appreciate others whom do the same. Best wishes.

Once the woods are in your blood and you live in a self-built house, there is no turning back. Adam has done a great job. When I was little, back in the late 50's we used to camp in Algonquin park when we lived in St. Kitts. There is a photo of me around age 2-3 standing in the middle of the forest on a dirt road. Although I have no direct memory of it, I think that is where my journey began. Now a fellow woodland self-built cabin dweller in Wales. Sans bears.

I was here for the tiny house but the music was such a bonus. Someday(or maybe later) I'd know how to properly use a saw and hammer and build our cozy house with my family.

Wow how cool is this. My husband was veary much like you. We had sum property near Haliburton and this was his dream to build a cabin, but unfortunately he lost his Life at 48 years young. Good for you in joy it as much as you can. Because like you seaid life is to short.

Awesome cabin, I envy someone who can cut down a bunch of trees, mill that wood and build a house. You are living true freedom the way man was meant to live in this world. I am a drummer, I would love to build something small off grid, just enough room for me, a dog, and 2 drum kits. I love your loft bedroom, I bet that's the best night sleep ever up there. Congrats man, that's one of the best cabins I have seen on you-tube.

I really like that pullout bed. There's no heat in my bedroom and he livingroom is better to sleep, but I have a baby grand piano I moved a bunch of stuff into my bedroom. So, now I sleep next to my piano, on the floor, but if I could make that bed I could sleep elevated and with more space to move.

Being alone is a direct line to the untamed self. It is an amazing "space" in which to create the reality we choose, instead of one forced upon us. Thank you!

Very nice little cabin. I love lodge cabin or house. But yeah bathroom is the one thing I do not want it close to the kitchen. It has to be in the back of the home. Even of it doesn't smell.

It became" The House that Grew." It was worth all the hard work as my wife and three children are always happy to drop by and slow down a little. Best Tony

3:04 The reasons you gave for living where and how you are ones I can relate to. I chose to live and raise my kids in the country because I wanted our main priorities to be family and nature. Unfortunately we didn’t end up in quite the wilderness that I wanted because of work. To live a simpler life, and to be able to appreciate the basic things are good for the mind, body, and soul.

My problem was I kept adding on but got to no when to say enough. Noise pollution and big cities not for me, there is a different noise in the way back country, wind and breeze blowing through the pines. Being in solitude is like a whole other way of life.
