Musician/Producer Reacts to "The Cloak" by LEPROUS 

Now is about the time to see yet another side of Leprous with "Slave" live at Rockefeller. And yes, that is still Einar. I can't even imagine Leprous without his genius contributions.

You have a lot of candy to listen to from these guys! When it comes to videos and not tunes, Nighttime disguise and The silent revelation are new ones. Below is a nice tune. The price is a beutiful older one. From the flame, love it! Many many more great songs from them. Have seen live once and it was a great consert.

Excellent band, glad you're checking them out :) They're a really mixed bag in terms of sound and style. The two songs you've heard are their softest ones, but for example the closer on this same song's album is just constant metal and it even has black metal type guest vocals. Their current lineup also has a cello player, who really helps add even more dynamics to their sound, like the other commenter said, Running Low is a great example. The latest album's closer, Nighttime Disguise, features more metal influence again and even has the singer doing screams at the end, accompanied by brass and strings in a really intense outro section. There's also some key modulations, time signature changes and they even play a really mellow jazzy section. Definitely worth listening to cause it's a really cool showcase of what they can do

Same vocalist. This track is old, relatively speaking, I’m a long time fan of Leprous. I’d recommend “Nighttime Disguise” ; it’s a phenomenal song. They apparently wrote it during a live stream. Here’s their explanation: “Nighttime Disguise started as an experiment, where we let the fans join us virtually in the studio, and being able to vote for different parameters to write a song: Time signature(s), key(s), what kind of instruments, vocal style(s) and range, lyrical content etc.” The end result is unreal!

The orchestration is likely Einar on Keyboards. Funnily during some live shows they have every member of the band sub in on keyboards (except the drummer) because it's the instrument that nobody really wants to be stuck behind :)

Good to see you continue with Leprous. 😊👍 Yes it's the same singer. I feel this song is a little bit in the same wheel house as "Castaway angels " For a more different sound from them I recomend you check out "Slave" (live at Rockefeller music hall)

Yeah. Same singer, Einar, who's kinda the standout guy a lot of times. But some really talented musicians with him too. And they are really creative with rhythms. I can't even put into words how special this band is for me. I can only recommend you check out their entire albums if you enjoy their sound. My favorites are Malina and Bilateral. Anyway, thank you for this one too. Hoping for more ofcourse!
