Hey Jeff. Yes, I already know. 😉Kai Hahto on drums and Jukka Koskinen on bass. Both now with Nightwish. Lead singer is Jari Maenpaa(ex- Ensiferum) , the band mastermind. Teemu Mantysaari on guitar. Wintersun was supposed to be a side project. But when their recording schedule and Ensiferum's touring schedule conficted, he was forced out of Ensiferum. Yes,Jari has that power in his voice ,despite contracting Tuberculosis in the military. And has diminished lung capacity because of it. 2 other songs from this same session. Sons of Winter and Stars (14 minutes) and Land of Snow and Sorrow (8 minutes). 🤘🤘

Kai, the drums, and Jukka, on bass are both in Nightwish now. And the latest move: Teemu, on guitar, is in Megadeth now.

Hmmm... drummer and bass player look familiar. But I feel like the bass player needs a full beard. 🤔

For me the only song with the name Time is by Pink Floyd.

You have just witnessed Wintersun and for some the greatest track of all time. This band, every member, is on another level. No one, I repeat no one, could better the vocals on this one.

Green guitar guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari plays guitar in Megadeth now. Okay, Kai Hahto drummer plays now in Nightwish and Jukka Koskinen plays bass olso in Nightwish 😊

As others said, you can hear and see Jukka Koskinen from Nightwish on bass, but let us not forget the fourth guy, Teemu Mäntysaari with the blue guitar. That man is an AMAZING guitar player, he has a partnership with Troy Grady whom you might know, where he explains the techniques he uses (sweeping, economy picking...). He's a perfectionist and extra precise and clean player 🤩

Ofcourse Jukka and Kai both are in Nightwish. But as of few months, Teemu has been temping on Megadeth as guitarist.

Thank you a thousand Jeff - you are SUPER! This band is on absolut top of the mountain. This masterpiece must have stunned even the heavens. It is all beauty!

YES,....This was awesome !!!!! So,...there is actually 2 members of Nightwish. Kai "The Machine Gun" Hahto on Drums and Jukka "The gentle Giant" Koskinen (minus the beard in here 🤣) On Bass. Now, on the song/Band: I absolutely love seeing people discover Wintersun for the first time, and react with such jaw-dropping surprise to all the different parts, melodies, and compositional layers (upon layers), that went into making this gorgeous masterpiece. For me the transitions with Jari's range from growls to clean vocals is just phenomenally flawless. One of the most beautifully epic songs you will ever hear in metal. I saw an interview where Kai Hahto was asked: - Now that in Nightwish, how come you don't do that incredible stuff you did on Wintersun? He laughed and answered: - You don't do things because you CAN, you do what serves the song. NWSU/FloorFan 🤘😎🤘.

i still love this song no matter how many times i hear it - especially this performance, it gets me every time, beautiful melody, lyrics, singer, musicians, perfect . Kai on drums, Jukka on bass (with camo pants)

Great reaction. Might be my third favorite band after Nightwish and Epica. Kai on drums and Jukka on base now in Nightwish. Love the complexity and how epic the music is. Feels like the soundtrack to a Nordic mythological adventure. Jari, lead singer and mastermind, is known for his perfectionism. Songs from this album have a huge number of tracks (around 200 per song) that take forever to master and produce. If you would like to continue I will offer something slightly different from the usual follow up of Sons of Winter and Stars, which is awesome. From the Forest Seasons album, The song perfectly captures the darkness and silence of winter as only a Finn can. Written by Jari after the death of his Father .

Yes Kai on drums, Jukka on bass both are now fulltime Nightwish members. Other gitarist Teemu Mäntysaari and he has been inwolved whit finish band called Smackbound lately. Jari is i gues compousing new stuff... but how knowus when something is ready from there.

This is not a track you can properly take in one listen. Fantastic. Sons of Winter and Stars next?

Well everything has been already said. Kai Hahto now of Nightwish on drums and Jukka Koskinen also now in Nightwish on bass. Personal favourite is Sons of Winter and Stars.

Well , its the other way around , Kai Haato was in Wintersun and entered Nightwish later when Juuka had health issues and stopped drumming in 2014 . By the way , the new Bass Player of Nightwish is from Wintersun too , but i still hope that Marco will reunite with Nightwish in some Years , Floors and Marcos Voice supplemented each other perfectly . Troy has a good background Voice but cant replace Marco .

Wintersun is an exceptional band with awesome musicians. There songs are compositions of art, intricate and wonderful to listen to. In addition, unlike too many bands, they add lyrics that are both intriguing and tell fantastic stories while the mix of clean and harsh vocals is interwoven perfectly. If there is one complaint it is Jari takes forever to release anything, mostly due to the massive number of tracks on each song), Time II has been in production for longer than some bands exist. Obviously both Kai (drums) and Jukka (bass) are now with Nightwish. However, you have to wonder for how long considering the NW decision to stop touring, Floor's budding solo career, and the departure of Marko. I see NW as a band in their twilight (I felt their last album was rather bland, way too much folk and tin whistle foolishness to be listened to) and becoming less of a force in metal. Hopefully Jari will finally release Time II this year.

Wintersun...nearly perfect band, with Asim Searah, even better! \m/

But of course Jukka and Kai are in here, it's basically their job application for Nightwish ;)
