@Jim Games Live here's an acoustic version of Ohne Dich.. something happened and they weren't able to get sound? But you can clearly see that Till Lindemann is not at all happy..he does come back with a little help from Shnieder and goes on to sing very beautifully ♥️ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NCfqgk2jeck.html

@@JimGames Yeah you should definetly watch that! They did have major technical issues, the song right before was Sonne (also out on youtube), and he lost the sound of his mic after the first chorus, and didn't get it back for the rest of the song! He and probably the rest of the band were pissed (he tried two different mics during that song, and threw them both away in anger), and they decided to sing a stripped down version of Ohne Dich while sound was being fixed. At first I also thought Schneider had to talk him into singing with them, but after seeing the video before it was more obvious that he simply had no mic to sing into! And when he finally got one, that didn't work either! Such a mess... Don't know if Schneider went to talk with the sound engineers or what, but he's clearly not talking with Till, as he's seen wandering around alone in the dark :P When he finally got a mic that *actually* worked, he says something like "ugh, we have no power! Did you pay them!?", and changes the lyrics from "and the birds don't sing no more" to "and we have no power here" - or something of the sort ;D So he's able to make jokes with the audience, but he's clearly still pissed, as he stormes off after the song's ended.

Eh? Does RU-vid remove comments saying p r o s t i t u t e? Or do you? The song is about a young (German) man loosing his virginity to a beautiful Parisian courtisane in spring Paris. Paris, the city of light and love that has a special place in European hearts, and the French being lovers of all the good things in life; food, wine, love. And yes, Till can sing.

@tedcraboli8021
@tedcraboli8021 3 года назад
@@felixkrau4919 it’s a play on words, as blüte and blutet (blooms and bleeds) are nearly exactly the same. It’s most definitely not about rape but pr*stitution as shown by the line Die Lippen oft verkauft (her lips often sold). And the bleeding spoken of in the chorus is referring to the narrator of the song losing his virginity to the woman. This is also shown by the lines Ich kannte meine Körper nicht, die Anblick so gescheut (I didn’t know my body, and was too shy to look at it)

@AgeofJP
@AgeofJP 3 года назад
@@tedcraboli8021 "blütet" and "blutet" are not interchangeable though and he clearly pronounces the "u"...I often see that foreign people tend to underestimate the two dots on our vowels. Ä, Ö and Ü are completely seperate letters that were introduced a few decades ago because a human can pronounce more than 5 vowels and the main reason they don't have completely new symbol is because these vowels were spelled "ae", "ue" and "oe" before. Now these three new letters are completely clear and unique, whenever you see these letters they're gonna be pronounced the same way without ambiguity. And honestly I don't understand why they stopped halfway, because I think about 3 or 4 more vowel-letters would eliminate all the leftover "secret vowels" which are still trapped in another vowel's letter. The french accent system always seemed so flawless to me I don't get why not every latin-based language took that, and even the french fucked that up by pairing it with triple letters for one sound ("labeouf" would be "laböf" in german spelling) Sorry for going on such a freaking tangent to describe my unique-vowel utopia lol

The synth in the official song gives me Goosebumps every time. I remember when I first checked this song out everyone loved hearing the French fans sing the chorus. Rammstein normally sing a song in a native language if they have one. So if they're ever in a Spanish speaking country they sing Te queiro puta and if they're in a French speaking country they sing Fruhling. This vocal performance was such a flex by Till. You're also at 1.75k! I hope you had a good day Jim!
@JimGames
@JimGames 3 года назад
Dose the synth sound different on the record? I have noticed Rammstein is very respectful while playing abroad. It’s really cool. Also I see your up late again just like me 😂
@educatedmarine
@educatedmarine 3 года назад
@@JimGames Honestly I tried fixing it but I got about an hour so I am up to greet you 😂. And you can faintly hear it in the background towards the end of the song but it pales in comparison. It's quite overbearing in the official song but it conveys so much. I can download and send it to you for a non video listen if you'd like? I believe this song was based on when Till lost his virginity to a French woman who he couldn't understand so this is technically a love song to that memory. Which is really emphasised by Tills performance
@JimGames
@JimGames 3 года назад
Interesting. Loosing your virginity is awkward enough 🤣 I can’t imagine also having a language barrier. I’m sure I’ll be able to find the studio version on RU-vid or Spotify. I’ll check it out in the AM. You got me curious about the synth now.

The favorite song of French fans. The refrain is in French. Till's poetry is wonderful here too. "Im Lichtkleid kam sie auf mich zu" "She came up to me in a light dress," that is, she was only dressed in light, so she was naked.

Lichtkleid more likely means a light, white dress of the sort that light partly shines through. So the beautiful parisienne came clad in a light white dress in the warm Parisian spring.
@fixzeichner5592
@fixzeichner5592 3 года назад
@@PalleRasmussen Certainly not. The song is about a sexual experience in Paris. Lindemann lyrical comparisons would not apply to summer dresses. He doesn't sing of romantic love. It's a prostitute that he sings about. The chorus of Lindemann's text also contains a homage to the French chanson icon Edith Piaf, who also didn't want to regret anything of her excessive life: "Non, je ne regrette rien".

The song is about Till's first sex experiences with a pr0stitute in Paris, but it is also a homage, as you said, to love songs and this kind of theatrical performers like Edith Piaf and actually the chorus "Oh non rien de rien , Oh non je ne regrette rien" is part of her song "La Vie en rose".

Many countries have their special songs: Moskau for Russia, Te quiero puta for latin america, this one for France. And they only play these songs when they perform in those countries. If you look for a very personal performance of Rammstein, look at the Vienna concert where the power broke down and forced them to sing with only some instruments. Till was infuriated but in the end he found a working mic and joined the others. See here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NCfqgk2jeck.html

Yay. Great songs and reaction. I've only just seen today and yesterday's videos because I was being a bit stupid on Tuesday trying to cut a couple of branches in one of our apple trees...... Yes, I fell out !!! Luckily I landed not too awkwardly and have only had a dull back ache since. I am so stupid. My son saw me out of his bedroom window and rushed outside just as I was hobbling back into the house. We couldn't stop laughing which hurt my back even more! Anyway, enough waffling. Nice reactions.
