They are so very talented, I'm really amazed at this performance and I can only envision how far they are going to take this talent. So amazing and captivating.
Halca is a real demon with that guitar! She set it on fire and is not afraid of it! And the two other members are also prodigies. There are other instrumental heavy metal bands like D_Drive, whose lead guitarist is also girl, and very very good by the way.
TEENS!!!! Where will they be in 5 years? You are looking at a super group ala Cream (1966-68) with Clapton, Bruce and Baker!!! These kids are that good and I don't want to hear that they need a vocalist. The vocalist would have to be world class to keep up with these kids!!! Great reaction. Haruka has that Hendrix vibe on stage and is a real assassin with that ax and to think she started when she was 10 and hasn't been at it for 10 years yet!! The brothers are equally talented and that mix of Hard Rock, Metal and Jazz is just so addictive.
Greetings and thanks for the kind words. I most certainly agree with you. So much amazing talent out there, I hope I can catch a live performance soon.
April 5th is ASTERISM Day, because i discovered them exactly one year ago and became a fan very quickly. The guitarist (Haruka Noma, stage name: Hal-ca [say Hal-ka] born in November 2002 is the youngest of the trio. Miyu, the bassist and Mio, the drummer, are brothers. They first met at a talent competition in 2014, they started to play together and one year later won prizes at that competition. Asterism is a specialist term in astronomy. Asterism released two EP's and a full Album between November 2017 and August 2018. It's all on Spotify. This song "Stars" is from 2019. I like this reaction video, it's well done, with the artists on the big picture, with you talking to the side, not talking too much and kept it short. And i'm glad you like ASTERISM 🎸🎸🎸
Thank you very much for your kind words and support. I had no idea about them and this information really helps me very much. I'm looking forward to continuing on this path and looking forward to finding more music by them.
Haruka has explained that having a vocalist would would create a barrier. Wherever they go, as soon as they start playing the audience understands. The seven string bass is incredible and Miyu plays it very well. The first time I saw that I remember thinking that if it was any wider it would be an ironing board.
I saw them in LA on their way back from SXSW. I took a couple of former pro guitarists with me. We stood literally within arms length of her. I'm a drummer and was just mesmerized by her playing. There weren't more than 20 or 30 people there. It was like a private show and was so amazing. Nobody knows about these kids Stateside, unlike Band-Maid. But then, they are YOUNG. The guitarist is maybe 18 now? They have so much ahead of them. The other young Japanese girl to check out is Li-Sa-X. She's only got a single official music video right now. But if you look around you can find an amount of stuff her doing covers and playing with other much older professional guitarists. She's even younger, she just turned 15.
She might be the best female guitarist in Japan.... they have guest singers once in a while, primarily instrumental from what I've been able to see.... Mary's Blood is another band worth checking... lead guitatist Saki is right up there as well...
Good day CR Campbell, she is definitely crushing those riffs, so amazing. Mary's Blood is next on my reactions list and I'll be sure to add your mention to the video.
@@artemorbid I appreciate your talent and hard work as well! 😉 Stay safe and remember to grow something great 🍃🌻 That chick was bad, you know what in the behind lol
Iam doing well , here in Jersey, staying in side ,, this gets me thru these tough times ,, you stay well be safe ,,,sending prayers and love your way ,,,only positive thoughts 🌿🙏🌷🎶🎼🎵✌
Haruka deservedly gets a lot of attention, but the other two Miyu and Mio (brothers) are amazing too. You should check out one of their studio gigs just so you can see how amazing they are, with clean sound. I suggest this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IfxMi0Bx4x0.html&pbjreload=10
To date, Asterism have put out 2 EPs (Sessions Vol. 1 and 2) and 1 full-length (Ignition). The drummer is now 20 and the bassist and guitarist are both 17 (will be 18 this year). They played at South by Soutwest in 2019 and then did a mini-tour of Texas and California. I got to see them live in Houston and they were phenomenal.
This band is the best JRock has to offer right now, imo. There are many young shredders out there, so the guitar work is impressive, but does not set this band apart. The bass playing however, is world class. He makes the difference. The drums are solid. Put all three of them together, and you have a very, very good instrumental band. Love it!
again good choice !!! watch the official MV ASTERISM " Rising Moon" after that compare with ASTERISM "Rising Moon (BATTLE SESSION / Studio Live)" Hal-Ca is the future, bass (7 strings and he uses and needs him) and drums also insane😁😍
Amazing musicians...period. It's a lot of wankery at times, and not something I can listen to all the time but you can't deny they are world class instrumentalists.
7 string bass isn't "their" thing, but they use it more than almost anyone else. Only other band I know that plays 6 and 7 string basses as much is Meshuggah (which you should also react to, by the way - their drummer Tomas Haake is known as "Your favorite drummer's favorite drummer".)
Flash is cool. I love watching them and hearing some of their stuff. But its the songs that make or break a band. I hope Asterism moves from show tunes to emotional writing that connects with both the heart and mind. This can be done with prog rock as well as any genre and style. For example, Band-Maid's done it with hard rock, but even they have more to learn about how to write songs that really connect. Asterism, I hope is on their way.
@better red I've heard most anything I can get my ears on with Asterism for a couple of years. But I don't know if you've ever played in a rock band (I played guitar for many years), it not how many notes one can hit per nano-second, it's more like what's between the notes and how the notes are expressed. If you like blues guitar work, check out Stevie Ray Vaughan, to name one. But I have great hopes for all three of these young shredders. Hal-Ca (especially) and MIYU are fascinating to watch. FYI - I never said pop or prog is more emotional than blues. But different people connect with different music and performers on different levels, which is a great thing about music. That, I'll bet, we can agree. Stay safe.
HaL -Ca is a Deadly Shredder ,reminds me of Dimebag of PANTERA check out their song Disperse , Bucket Head played on their album a couple of songs with them ,she wants to have a guitar battle with him one day , she's that good ,🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Asterism put out a 360 degree view studio version of this song. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wKIWT85Y9EY.html Stars is one of my favorites of their newer songs.
Asterism is the best, but the Japanese band called SOKONINARU is amazing. Please be sure to react. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8OM58AreiNI.html
