The more I listen to Bridear the more I realise Kimi has a really distinctive voice.

Yes - no one sounds like her on the hard/metal scene.

I absolutely LOVE Kimi's vocals. her tone, her pitch, her Japanese accent. she's fantastic. way under-rated. IMO. so much love for her. ❤❤❤❤

Really underrated band whose back catalog stands up really well going back about a decade. Even through a few lineup changes one thing that stays the same is that both guitarists play both lead and rhythm and frequently trade solos followed by a harmonized sequence (although those have gotten shorter and somewhat less frequent). As Wave points out, Natsumi's percussion work is a definite strong focus of Bridear. She always has some really unique takes on what would've been an otherwise standard and straightforward beat - until she gets ahold of it and turns it into something that not only sounds cool but also stands up to deeper analysis. Same hold true for their songwriting in general imo

The name of the band is a play on the word's dear and bride. Natsumi is just a great drummer from the band Telecide. This is MOE's the blonde guitarists first official song since Misaki stepped away.

I LOVE BRIDEAR haha. they are so under-rated. I am so happy to see you do a reaction and enjoy them. They have been around for more than 10 years and they are fantastic. They have had a lot of lineup changes. but I love this current version. Ayumi is a great composer and lead guitarist, but she's humble and does not mind sharing lead with the 2nd guitarist. I have a feeling this song was written to show off MOE a lot who replaced the guitarist that left last year right as they were about to tour. MOE toured went to Europe with them and the chemistry seems fantastic. IF this song is a taste of what's to come their next album will be even more full of fire than last year's Aegis of Athena which IMO was one of the best if not the best releases last year. I love it. I love this band. Every member is an all-star. Haru's bass lines and growls are fantastic. Moe and Ayumi are really super talented guitarists. Natsumi's drumming is on fire all the the time. she's really been a spark for them since joining in 2019, as has Ayumi. then there's KIMI, what a vocalist. I love her very unique tone, pitch and accent. You may need the subs at times to ensure you get all her lyrics, but I truly enjoy her sound. I think she's just fantastic and her stage presence is awesome too, live and MVs. so cool. Thank you for doing a reaction video to BRIDEAR, they need all the support and attention they can get. I think they should "IGNITE" and take off more ASAP. I hope. I really want to see them tour in the USA at some point. I hope they can keep getting love and support from the USA RU-vidrs and fans. ❤❤❤❤❤

Firmly in this band’s camp. They claim lead/rhythm guitar line up but both are capable! Really want to see this band live!🤘

Bridear's new song is good but so do their old songs. Their first two albums were completely in your face metal music. Try Light in the Dark or Ignite for their old stuff, Wave!

I've posted this on one of your earlier reactions but here is an updated version. Note: They have two co-lead guitars, but they wanted to use this song to highlight Moe, their new guitarist who replaced Misaki. Moe also wrote this song, her first writing credit with the band. Bridear (bryde-ear) : One of the second wave of all-female heavy-metal bands, founded in 2011. They go hard and heavy, and epitomize the technical side of Japanese rock bands. Here is the original lineup: Kimi-Vocals Haru-Bass, growls Misa-Guitars, growls Mitsuru-Guitars (pink flying V) Kai-Drums In 2019, Kai left to start a family, Misa left to pursue her own musical vision, Mitsuru soon followed, and they had to bebuild. Amazingly, they did so without any loss in quality, finding Misaki and Ayumi on Guitar, and Natsumi, formerly of Telecide, to take over on drums (after a brief trial with another drummer). Second Lineup: Kimi-vocals Haru-bass, growls/metal vocals Misaki-Guitar, audience left Ayumi-Guitar, audience right Natsumi-Drums I saw them live in London just after this lineup came together, and they were explosive, playing mostly stuff from the original lineup. They have experimented with a variety of styles, dabbing in progressive and pop, but they still come back to their metal roots. In “Brave New World Revisited” (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_6-OXcyMkYI.html) they’ve got a masterpiece. It’s also a tour-de-force for their brilliant young guitarist Ayumi. With work like this, they should re-emerge into the top tier of Japanese bands. In early 2022, Misaki, who suffers from severe stage fright, left the band for health reasons, and they scrambled to find a new co-lead guitarist. They have been joined by Moe, and their first release with her on board showcases some great dual shredding between her and Ayumi. Hopefully this lineup will last! From the original lineup: “Light in the Dark” ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CN3KDIBdosQ.html “Ignite” ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LQIDqudG_DQ.html Second Lineup: “Starlight” ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4lq90GqRxiE.html “Bloody Bride” ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CN3KDIBdosQ.html “Brave New World Revisited” ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_6-OXcyMkYI.html Third Lineup: “Road” ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vcsUpWW0UZk.html “Eyes of Doubt” ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_oNn9Wg-vNQ.html (This was written by new member Moe and is included as a bonus track in the Japanese version of their new album).

I got into Bridear recently and I don't know which other songs of theirs you've reacted to, but two I'd recommend: Brave New World Revisited - amazing song that is like nothing else I've heard from a Japanese band Ignite - more what you'd expect, but done brilliantly. Very catchy

When i was in Tokyo to see Band-Maid at Tokyo Garden Theater I was fortunate enough to see Bridear in a small club, for only 30 fans by lottery, for their new years show. Natsumi on Drums was Phenomenal live, she just killed it, trying to remove my drummer bias I still think she is the best member of the band. The guitarist on the right Ayumi was super solid and played most of the solos, and was super endearing on stage. Moe the Guitarist on left played well but seemed less sold (probably nerves and less experience with the bands songs). Each member was asked their new years 'resolution' and Moe's was to get better on guitar (rough translation) so not sure if it was specific to Bridear songs. I became an instant fan seeing them live as they seemed so genuine. Funny side story, they did photos with everyone and i was near last and they all had a little shocked reaction when I went up for my photo,....a 6' white dude after 27 Japanese ... caught them a little off guard i think.

Been a 'fan' of Bridear's sound for awhile, but never followed them closely. I really like this song though. Something caught my eye when you looked up the members. Yuri (now the drummer of Gacharic Spin) was in both bands for a short time, then I guess Yuri committed to Gachapin - and Narumi (ex of Telecide) became Bridear's drummer. Great Reaction and analysis Wave. (BTW, this 'Wolf' would remind you that Lovebites was singing Positive messages for several years before Nemophila formed in 2019😉)

I’m gonna have to second the suggestion of Brave New World Revisited, to me it’s their “Stairway to Heaven”, epic. (And you get to hear Haru’s, bass, growls)
