You sounded surprised that there was a live band. It's not unusual for BTS to sing with a live band. The band that accompanies them a lot, for example in their Tiny Desk Concert, is called Ghost Band. They have a live band at their concerts as well and when they did MTV Unplugged and Proof Live they had a live band (including Anderson Paak on one song) 💜💜💜💜💜💜
and sometimes it sounds like there is a vocal manipulation buts its really their voice. many people think jungkook has his vocals with autotune and a lot of the time he doesnt . and jimin's vocals here

When this cover first came out, Sting saw this cover and gave a thumbs up to BTS. He even posted it in his twitter account promoting the cover and tagging BTS & Bighit. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Guy in the white shirt is Jimin, his voice is really high, more than normal for males actually. If you're interested in some solo songs from him, he has some in BTS's discography. Usually people recommend Serendipity (full version) and Lie. Both are amazing in my opinion, if you like R&B then you'll like Serendipity. I still didn't figure out to this day which genre Lie is lol a mix of classical with r&b? I really do not know.
Believe me the songs you have reacted was just the surface of their discography. They have more than 300 songs include free songs they released on SoundCloud as gift for fans. They wrote, composed and sometimes produced their songs together with other poducers and musicians, especially the rapline (RM, Suga, Jhope). You will find their name credited in almost every BTS Song. I personallylove their live performance, their live stage always stunned me. Their energy, live vocal and rap, their dance was unmatched. I wish you can react to their live performances.
Some people will get heated over the backing track thing, but they absolutely have them for support when they're doing heavy choreography. It makes sense. And others will get heated over autotune, but they do use it. They don't need it for fixing anything really, it's a style choice. I remember being new to the fandom and people getting pissed every time someone mentioned backing tracks or autotune like it was negative criticism and screaming that they don't use them. It's silly. Of course they use them when they need to for performance reasons, or for stylistic choices. But they DO still sing, they might drop a word or a phrase in heavy choreography but they never just lip synch a whole performance. In fact there are a lot of moments where they'll intentionally stop singing for a moment to show the mic is ON lol.
Our boys are slowly but surely entering the Military this year. With that they are releasing solo projects. Next up is Jimin, the young man you keep mentioning with the absurdly high range. He has a few solo projects within BTS. The live performances are always the best but you risk copy right strikes with some of them. Someone in here will know the best ones to check out.
You really had an eye to Jimin thats great! He's the lead vocalists, a tenor with amazing high voice registry together with Jin (5th in line and the eldest). You must be also aware how you received tremendous hate/constructive criticisms and those came from BTS' solid and loyal fans🤣 And for those reactions or critics who said something to BTS not to their fans liking, good luck😆 that's why some of them leave and dont want to have any connection with BTS at all, that's a FACT✌️
I'd suggest picking out some of the songs from their recent Busan concert. Butterfly is a good one for vocals, My City, UGH! was great for the rap line, Run BTS for the group with intense choreo - the whole concert was amazing. And in any of their concert footage, you can tell the difference between their live voices and the backing track very easily. Sometimes, they deliberately let the backing track play just to make it clear when they start singing with it again and sometimes because of their choreo they just can't hit the notes or catch their breath. But if you watch enough of them, you can see that the choreo is designed to let the singer featured for those lines move less - they will be set center stage and won't be dancing as hard as the others, specifically to allow them to sing their part easier.
I don't know about upbeat, but I suggest House of Cards and The Truth Untold (live with English subtitles) - vocal line (4 of them) only. Vocal line is Jungkook (the main vocalist), Jimin, Jin and V. In this song you just did, Jungkook was in the middle in all denim and sang with more of a mid-level voice (a bit lower than he does usually) and Jin next to him was singing the high parts with Jungkook. V (2nd from left) is usually the baritone but he was doing some pretty high notes in this one, with Jimin (who normally does high, delicate notes - he has a unique voice - but he can also go low and do some growls and such). Honestly, they all have amazing range. J-Hope (normally a rapper, and on the far right in this video), also has a beautiful singing voice. You might enjoy also Tiny Desk concert - also with live band. They do 3 songs. Festa Room Live 2021 is also good. Keep in mind that some of these performances were during the pandemic and I think that is why the band is so far back from BTS in this video. BTS were missing their fans and we were missing them!
They're good singers... There is a recording of BTS listening to Dimash. They couldn't move, couldn't talk, couldn't breathe. No one - on this earth at least - comes even close and gets very little recognition in USA and very few other $%%#%%$# countries. What are they afraid of?
