Yes, Yes, Yes! He hit the highest note known as D8. Which is off the standard Piano keyboard. Dimash is truly the best singer. By the way "What a great reaction" You are awesome.
Currently his range (so far from a multitude of his live international performances) is six octaves from F2 to a sustained D8 (as you just heard). [and no it's not a mic malfunction -- it's been checked and it is Dimash holding the D8 note] SIDE NOTE: Mariah Carey has a 5 octave vocal range (G#2-G#7)
The 2nd highest note ever recorded by someone. That was a D8 whistle note WITH VIBRATO, held for 5 full seconds. First time I saw that I had to rewind it and figure out if it was someone whistling, or a malfunction with the mic... I did not think it was actually him until I listened to it 6-7 times, and heard the vibrato in there. Guy is inhuman. Mariah's highest is G#7, meaning Dimash is nearly a different Octave from her. Highest note ever sung period is a G10 by Georgia Brown.... I don't even wanna hear that note for the sake of my ears. But the fact that Dimash can sing the 2nd highest possible note... Is just... wow. I had to actually see if he held the highest note, because I thought it was.
Hi - i have looked into the Georgia Brown - and apparently that note cannot be measured by the instruments used at the time (2004 (violin/ organ etc) ... and can only now be verified by technical equipment - which we now have - apparently just now he has the highest note recorded on a few occasions and still some surprises for us yet :)
There is a recording showing Nicola Sedda hitting A9 with scaling up, so that has to count for something. It is as close to G10 as I heard, but Dimash is one of, if not the best with many mastered techniques in his generation. No doubt.

I know it’s in the whistle register but that’s the highest whistle my ears have ever heard! I get you soo well TraENT. when they said he was whistling in this video, I wasn't excepting this too. and I was shocked beyond reason lol. I never knew a human being can produce such a sound. it sounds like just a frequency, not a sound by a human being. and this whistle is quite strong, powerful and he does it with vibrato. this is insane. I've heard whistles before, and I am sorry but most of them are weak sounds. this is insane.
First time I heard this. I was like no way. For me there is dimash way up there, and way below come the rest of top of top singers you can think of. He's just something else. Not just because he can go higher than anyone. But he's more complete and can alternate many tones and registers.
