Love this song. Feels very Rush inspired. My only gripe is the live version has female background singers who bring something else to it that makes it sound bigger.
You can see how the guitarist plays the slide at 2:05 in live videos. He's doing a pick slide up the neck while tapping the high strings with his left hand, basically combining a tapping solo with a slide.
Nearly every reactor mentions that section as sounding like Rush - and while I don't necessarily disagree, to me, it's straight out of the end of Kansas' "Carry On Wayward Son."
First time I heard it is when we saw them live at Hershey PA in February and I was like Rush?, I can totally hear some Kansas in it too. This song was love at first riff for me when I heard it at the concert and it has overtaken Dance Macabre as my favorite Ghost song.
