"Wagakki" is a Japanese reading of Japanese musical instruments. Their Japanese musical instruments have been modified, such as by increasing the number of strings, to match the Western scale. The first thing they did was to make a cover album of songs made with the composition software "Vocaloid" that let virtual idols sing. When the music video for "Senbonzakura," which was included in the completed album, was released, it quickly attracted worldwide attention. Currently, "Senbonzakura" has been played more than 140 million times. They have already held concerts in several countries, including France and the United States, and have been very successful. Thank you for picking up my favorite Wagakki (Japanese instruments) Band. I recommend Hakushu Kassai. Their live version is always better than the studio version. A super live group with amazing technique and team work!
I think the going recommendation is to avoid music videos as they will get blocked? But you should look at Eclipse and or Sunwheel (live) by them. Really good songs. But this band is just exceptional all around.

On songs written by them I strongly recommend: - Sun Wheel: very rock - Queen of the night: very traditionnal They don't have a specific style and they can play everything from very pop (Appare ga Seigi, Hana ni nare) to Jazz (Synchronicity) to rock. And on some title, you can even see the singer, Yuko, doing some sword dance.

You’re doing all my favourite Japanese bands. 😊 Koto is Japanese, Guzheng is Chinese and Gayageum is Korean. The Guzheng tends to be larger than the Koto and Gayageum although I’ve seen some bigger Koto’s. The flute is a Shakuhachi.
