falling up is basically losing yourself while going ahead. the prechorus goes something like "im falling towards you but i'm falling into loneliness" so they're miserable on their way up but they can't stop bc they have to make it to the end
I don't know if I'd use the words "losing yourself". The song also talks about knowing oneself and looking inward for answers instead of listening to others, so it feels more like only having yourself in some ways. For me, I'd say it's about feeling like you keep falling and failing but rising anyway. Knowing that what you want is to keep moving forward and to get to the top, and making the decision to keep heading in that direction even if it feels like falling, because in the end, you can tell that you are rising. That must be such a tricky thing to balance, though. Knowing that it only gets harder, but that going back isn't an option even though you don't know where the top is and how much longer you have to keep going. It's a real test of faith, endurance, and strength.
@@Jules-dt5wb yea tbf that's what i say in my comment 😅 i don't mean lose yourself like lose your sense of self but lose yourself as in get lost in the process of the pursuit of something thats what i mean by being miserable but knowing they have to keep going. but i definitely see the confusion haha i actually had one step forward two steps back originally and changed it idk why
A little note on the opening being titled "Night": The main character of Tower of God is actually named Bam, or the 25th Bam, translating directly to mean the 25th Night. A lot of his journey revolves around discovering his identity, especially in the current arc where he's forced to use an alternate name. With all of SKZ's love for wordplay and their strong focus on always delivering meaning and message through their songs, I wouldn't be surprised if it was specifically titled as a tribute to the character's growth and identity themselves, which makes all the lyrics hit especially close when read for the double meaning. Truly an artist that appreciates the art ♥
Fun fact the first verse of Night is Changbin!! I was so shocked to hear his vocals and a lot of stays didnt recognize it. Changbin has been talking abt wanting to improve his vocals and im soooo proud of him
Chan said in one billboard interview that Falling Up means that eventhough the character is falling but he still tries to stand back up so thats why its called Falling Up..
My fav parts of the song.. Chans raspyness in Falling Up Hans rockstar yell in Falling Up Chans high notes in Night Lee Knows vocals Obviously, all of them slayed these songs like they always do. Those were just a couple things that I'm in love with from these two songs. Totally in love with both of these songs.
10:36 is actually Han and Chan! Check out the RU-vid short by @loveleeknowingu channel! They have the stripped vocals and this is what it says on their short: "the whistle notes are Bb (5)-C(6)-C#(6) by definition, whistle notes begin on a D(6), which is acknowledged as the end of the soprano range; this means chan is hitting the highest end of a soprano's (female register) vocal range" And in the comments they added: "They also said, "while technically not a "whistle note" by definition, the highest harmony line is at the highest end of the soprano vocal register, and it's sung by a man, which is insane if you ask me. Meanwhile, han is belting the same notes an octave below, which is also so damn impressive because those notes are in the mid-soprano range, another female vocal rangel also hear chan(?) w/ another descending harmony on Bb(5)-Ab(5)-F(5)"
I think the reason that people don't pick up on Chan is that his volume is turned down. He's being used as an adlib and is not the focal point of the break. Han's volume has been turned up and belting will always be more apparent as it is naturally more forceful.
Every time skz does more rock focused songs I'm having the time of my life💕 I think Chan, Changbin and Lee Know in particular are really good at giving a good amount of rasp to their voices and it contrasts soo well with the smoother voices of the other members.
Things to look forward to: Changbin wrote VAY- which Itzy will release in a few days, then the Arcane OST, then the Japanese album GIANT, plus we still have SKZ-Player to look forward to, all while Stray Kids head out on more of their World Tour.
8:51 Same D'some you get it🙂↕️ The way he emotes with his voice gets me every time! The transition to Lino's beautiful falsetto to Chan's raspy vocals to I.N's distinct pretty tone🤌 Han Jisung hitting the high notes out of the park as usual with Chan going off in the background too🫶 The rappers all sounded great starting off the song strong🔥 I've had this on repeat since the teasers dropped😂 Using Binnie's soft, pretty vocals to start with on 'Night 'was everything I needed, he and Lino's vocals blend so well. They nailed the rock/metal sound and it sounds like the perfect anime song. All the versions sound amazing ofc but I think I prefer the English version of 'Night'🥹
I like that the lyrics of both songs also fit with the anime. The protagonist of Tower of God is called '25 Bam', his name means 'night' in Korean and the lyrics of Falling Up also match the series with everything that happens in this new season.
What were YOUR thoughts on these two tracks?! Which one did you like more? :D For more SKZ reaction, analysis, and discussions, visit patreon.com/handsomesausages ! :)
Falling up is a phrase meaning you fall but actually end up somewhere better. Like failing but then realising failure helped you get somewhere better than you originally planned 😊 it's used in the UK not sure about US
I think these got dropped on the same day Tower of God season 2 dropped was my understanding. So that's probably why it was so far ahead of the album release.
I love these songs so much! Falling Up is actually my anthem at the moment.👀 to help out I think the phrase “falling up” is describing Tower of God in the fact that as they climb up the tower they fall “down” each battle but keep going up the tower because the have to. So they are “Falling Up” if that makes sense. It’s a good anime too. PS these OSTs are for the third season-Niziu did the OST for the second season.😎
I just have to say that you guys are the only reaction channel I watch and will always be, you are so amazing at what you do and you make us understand in such easier ways than others would! So thank you so much for your amazing reactions!🙏🏼

In Falling Up, listen to when Han sings the high pitched yea...yea..yea, I think it was Bang Chan sang the even higher pitch harmonization that's insanely HIGH! Btw, Channie explained what Falling Up means.. he keeps falling off of the tower, but kept trying to go up, where he finally succeeded to go up.. so it's progression toward going UP!
I kind of see falling up as a way of saying they are winging it towards their goal , I’m aiming for my goal however I get there it dosent matter I’ll find a way even if it’s messy just keep going up . I felt like the ending was a cliff hanger .. like it’s unknown what awaits me kind of thing
