I was coming here to say the exact same thing. I was at this performance as well, and I can honestly say that it was in my favorite Top 3 or so performances to see live in my entire life. That's saying something, as I am 58 and have seen some of the world's performance greats: Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Journey, Styx, Mellencamp, Jimmy Buffett, Paul Simon, Elton John/Billy Joel, and many more. J-hope was just STUNNING, and there were a lot of non-ARMY ("locals") in the crowd that night who were also really impressed. ARMY was also amazing at hobipalooza. Jack in the Box had only just been released about 2 weeks before this performance - but ARMY did not come to play - we knew those lyrics and sang along to everything. We wanted j-hope (and by extension BTS) to know that we were still here for them, and would be until 2025 when they return as a group. I think we said that HANDS DOWN with how engaged we were. I don't think j-hope is given enough credit for what he did with "Jack in the Box" and his hobipalooza performance, to be honest. As the person above said, he was FIRST to release a solo project. And he absolutely killed it in every way you can kill a music release and a live performance. He experimented and went outside his comfort zone, he was the first to do a performance alone (and nearly killed himself in the prep for it, too), and he didn't just do this first live performance for ARMY. He not only went to the most well-known music festival in the world - and was the first Asian to perform there - but he HEADLINED there. I mean, that took SO much courage to do! He just deserves ALL the credit for all of that. One correction to what was said in the video, by the way. Lollapalooza no longer changes locations in the US every year. In its early days it was actually a traveling festival (intended as a farewell tour for Jane's Addiction), but now it is permanently in Chicago. Also, just a fun fact: my younger brother went to the very first Lollapalooza, back in 1991 (he was 19). Seeing hobi in 2022 was my first Lolla ever - at the ripe old age of 56. 😅 I went with my daughter, who was 20 at the time, and two ARMY friends of mine who are in their 40s. Also, of the six other BTS members, only Jimin came to Lolla - he was up in the back on a platform behind the stage, left side. You can see j-hope point at him and look for him a couple of times during the concert. J-hope credited Jimin with calming him down in the days before the concert. He was really stressed, and it made all the difference in the world for Jimin to come and support him. J-hope also had two other friends there with him (that we know of). Backstage at Lolla is also where j-hope met J. Cole in person for the first time, and both j-hope and Jimin went to see Tomorrow by Together - the BTS donsaengs also on the Big Hit Music label - at Lolla. And finally, Bang PD was there - he was in the VIP section. I can't recommend enough watching the entire performance. We'll watch it with you.

You are so fortunate 🥹 goosebumps from watching their reaction and then again while reading your comment 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 He did all that and by himself and it left me speechless and in total shock 😮 I never doubted his abilities for one second but to see it play out live was bigger than I ever imagined. I watched it live I think it was on Hulu steaming. I just told someone yesterday I still can’t wrap my brain around it. It was so incredible!!! Borahae ~ 💜💜💜
