Well about the second pre chorus, the thing is... only Chenle's part is the pre chorus, starting Haechan's part it is actually the start of the bridge. You know the typical SM bridge with more than one chorus. The modulation put us in that bridge and then we got the bridge/dance break/rock part which is so cool! I feel that song is really really well made! The voice is saying Neo Culture Technology and it appears twice in the song actually!

Renjun's pre-chorus part was absolutely beautiful. Their pre-choruses are honestly always the best

i always thought of the second "pre-chorus" as more of a bridge, at least the second half of one..

I really appreciate and enjoy Kevin’s analysis on kpop songs as well as his knowledge in music theory. He explains things so well where it’s also easy to understand for someone like me who has limited knowledge in music theory. He not only explains the theory in the song really well, but he also explains what effect it has on the listener. I hope Kevin stays on the channel for a long time!

SCRATCH THAT BRING IT BACK

i really like how you guys appreciate and explain the musical aspect of the song! im not a musician but somehow to me, the way sm mixes different genres work so much better than when other companies do it? plus their vocals always work. now that yall said it, the first prechorus really wanted to portray a 'surprise', from renjun's vocals, to the music and the visuals. while the second one is more of a prechorus but leading to the bridge and i think its perfect how they made chenle lead that, with haechan and renjun at the actual bridge. i totally had fun listening to this song but hearing your input made it even more meaningful.

this song is so cool. remember stumbling upon it as I was trying to get back into kpop and I'm glad I checked it out!

Now I know why I couldn't fall asleep -to watch your reaction! Glitch mode was confusing, but it became one of my favourite Dream title tracks, if not the most... It has insane replayability, as well as the rest of this gorgeous incredible gift of an album. "And then WayV happens" - yess😹 In my opinion this dance break is the most satisfying SM genre shift so far. The fact that they used the same tempo and replayed bass chord progression in guitar feels soooo good. And yeah, the outro chorus (combined with the changed choreo) feels more likeable the third time. It was very interesting to hear about the prechoruses! Glad that these smart and playful moves in production found their appreciation. It's the first kpop song for these producers btw. I loved both of prechoruses, but "There was no you - there was no me" is an insanely beautiful part... I didn't like the high note after it, but I agree that it's in its place, it makes sense there. Have you had time to listen to the entire album yet??? (not saying you need to react to it... just generally curious). Hello Future is still my favorite Dream album, but I've had Glitch Mode on repeat for a couple weeks now and it's an excellent album. There is a bit in Fire Alarm that I am positive I've heard before but I cannot for the life of me place it exactly. The closest I've gotten is Oingo Boingo's Weird Science 😑 but it's still not right and it drives me crazy every time the track comes on. 😭😭😭 It's definitely in the realm of 80's new wave though... I think ... actually I don't know anymore... I've listened to it too many times now. Send help. 😄

honestly, i didn't like this song the first few times i heard it and i think it's EXACTLY what kevin said about the first prechorus being too jarring and and making me feel like the song was directionless or trying to be too surprising. this channel always teaches me so much about music. it took me a while to finally like the song :)

I know absolutely nothing about music, but to me a lot of the recent sm experimented songs pre choruses sound much more like bridges (which they are in a way) than a pre chorus .... and in this song it seems to me that the seconD prechorus is longer because it feels like they just merge a prechorus with an actual bridge.

Was waiting for this vid! Kevin articulated how I felt about the chrous, and the way the chorus is arranged in the teaser vid was what got me hooked so when the mv released I was like "huh?? That's not what I expected". I love this album a lot though and Glitch Mode was a solid title track! I also wanted to recommend BoA's song "Better" for another video! This song came out a year ago but it's really beautiful, and hearing the musicians opinions would be really cool!

I don't know if Umu, kevin or any of the team watches any of the nct dream behind videos (there's a lot I don't blame you if you don't, you have a lot of artists to keep eyes on) but they do have videos on the behinds the scenes of recording the title tracks and as a singer, I love to hear all the raw vocals in the booth. Gives lots of indicators on what kind of singers the boys are, as well as hearing their range (they just posted the one for glitch mode)
