This was a bittersweet moment for Ateez and Atinys! San just lost his grandpa when he had to come back from the funeral and perform this, to finish off Kingdom. I'm sure his grandpa was so proud of him. In my eyes, Ateez dominated this competition. They were last after the intros, but they sure did prove themselves by being 1st in the next rounds. Even if they ended up not winning, they definitely earned the respect of many.
The guy who kept saying that San is sexy is such a mood😭 that’s literally me everytime i see San on screen😂 Like how can he be soo handsome, his visuals are so different from other kpop idols, he has such strong masculine features and has a very powerful and dominant aura. He looks intimidating but also so cool at the same time. That’s why he’s also my ultimate bias❤️🔥❤️🔥 + his facial expressions are on another level🔥
The fact that San delivered THIS performance after his grandfather had just died, blows my mind! This was freaking amazing and Ateez are monster performers, my absolute ult group, making me proud every day!
It is sad how bad Ateez were treated during Kingdom, they really got screwed over in multiple ways. It also was such a bittersweet moment San with his grandpa passing right before this, and with how upset Ateez was with how Kingdoms was planned they did The Real and went all out and just blew it out of the park. They took it upon themselves to include all the other groups there and show they loved them. They knew at that time they werent winning and showed respect and love. They were robbed of winning and I say this as an AtinyStay....
1. their accents are good when they use 사투리 because san and seonghwa are from 경상남도 (san is from 남해, he is it's first idol and therefore the ambassador of 남해, and seonghwa is from 진주 i believe) 2. the first intro thing you heard is a snippet of their song "The Leaders" from Fever Pt. 2 3. they often use 멋 to end or encore concerts/music show concerts because of how fun it is (and the dance break) so I suggest you check them out for fun :) anyways I cant wait until you guys get to the full 멋 with mingi's parts (i love when he mentions 라면 LOL) and the traditional instruments are just amplified the music video is sooo fun and has references to (spoiler alert) volcano high (화산고)!
This performance was brilliant. I love how they incorporated the other groups. Be sure to watch the Heung versions official MV. It's slightly different, has Mingi, and is so much fun.
the real is legendary. live the size of the energy is surreal, it was the last song of the concert and just we didn't want to finish it, could have done a 30min version!! Kingdom was really a bittersweet moment but I'm very proud to say that no one had anything bad to say about ATEEZ and there still isn't, even though we didn't win I didn't feel like losing, a lot of experience was gained and put into practice. ps: I think you should watch the fever medley with good lil boy, the leaders and to the beat it's crazy good and mandatory fr
This was such a great performance! On tour this has been the last song they perform, and in the end two members always do the freestyle dance so the performance is a little different every time. I'd love to see you to react to the official mv, it's so fun, and that version of the song has slightly different instrumental as well (and Mingi's parts are great!)
They did so well. Was lucky enough to see them live earlier this year and- as others have mentioned- it's the last song which just means you leave the venue still absolutely buzzing with energy 'cause how can one stay calm watching them perform The Real? :D
I agree! I fell in love with ATEEZ and BTOB during Kingdom , their wonderland performance was perfection. No one does it better than Ateez and I say this as a Stay.❤️
Agreed. All of the artists turned in great stages but Ateez, pound for pound, turned in the most consistently good, cohesive performances on the show IMHO. But it's water under the bridge now. We got somme legendary stages out of it so it wasn't a complete waste of time for them.
the fact that kingdom gave us both Stray Kids and Ateez blows my mind. Yes, Stray Kids are my main, but Ateez is amazing, and i am glad that others are finally appreciating them as much as I do
As many have mentioned there is an MV for The Real with a slightly different version of this song. Also the song at the beginning is The Leaders, a really awesome B-side of theirs
The fact that I'm rewatching this is crazy. Their performance was top tier. Stage presence all 7 of them. The way they interact with fellow Mayfly 🤍🤝 and can we talk about JONGHO SPLITTING THE FKIN APPLE INTO 2 JUST USING FINGER! the bear is strong. I love this stage performance. I love Ateez and I love Mayfly. ❤
I hope you guys react to their The Real Heung version MV. It is inspired by various anime and includes Mingi. If you didn’t know-each of the dialect parts were from members speaking in their actual dialect. Jongho is from Seoul so they had him speak in the Seoul accent at the end. This performance was fire-and my favorite of the finale episode.
the reason Hongjoong has so many rap lines throughout kingdom is because Mingi was on Hiatus at the time, it sucks mingi didn't get to show of his rapping and powerful stage presence but I am happy hongjoong did so well and showed his skills
I love their kingdom performances so much but I can’t watch them now since what san said yesterday:( He said that he doesn’t want to go back to that time because he was mentally on edge and it’s his first time experiencing so much intense pressure and earlier this year he said he wanted to give up during kingdom when his grandfather died but he held on for his members. He performed so so well for hurting so much inside,later that night after this performance he and Seonghwa were on the sofa to eat and he said to San “since I know you’ve been holding it in it’s okay now you can cry” and san cried his eyes out and Seonghwa cried too seeing how upset he was:(
yeah : / Hongjoong has talked about how he can't watch it anymore as well. it was such an intense pressure cooker for them, they had so much going on at the time plus San's grandpa... then they got accused of so many false things just for winning two rounds in a row. it look a huge mental toll on all of them. even Eden complained before the finale that instead of it being "Kingdom : Legendary War" he called it "Kingdom : Legendary Exhausting". they all hated it.
they were treated so bad compared to the others. They barely had room to practice. I think they had a small space to practice their dances which is amazing because of how hard they dance. I think they weren’t given food or whatever.

Everyone knows the real winners of kingdom were ATEEZ and I love my boys SKZ and they did freaking amazing,l, but I would give ateez 1st place and SKZ a close 2nd.
