Such amazing song...We definitely felt SKZ standing up tall and pushing back on the haters, which was very cool. Are we crazy, or is that what's going on?! What happened?

Here is the thing about Stray Kids’ songs. It ‘s impossible to recommend a song because ALL of their songs are amazing. So, my recommendation is: pick a song, any song, you won’t be disappointed.

Lol, “Hyunjin is a handsome man” hahahaha it’s not even music related but it did need to be said several times. It’s just his impact in music videos.

And yes, Cheese is a huge clapback to the haters and is the intro track for their Noeasy album which fits perfectly. Noeasy is wordplay on 'noisy' which is a reference to what a lot of haters call Stray Kids' songs, 'noise' music (especially after Side Effects which really cemented their unique sound and how they are unafraid to be experimental with even their title tracks despite knowing it will not fit everyone's taste) Some references in Cheese lyrics are 'du du du du du du' and 'crows and magpies' from God's Menu (a quintessential 'noise' music track) and 'headache' refers to Side Effects (literally meori apeuda or how people said it made their heads hurt listening to it) There is also a wordplay where they list fingers to put down and it makes a thumbs up but in the adlibs they list different fingers which form a middle finger

Somebody FINALLY noticing and commenting on Lee Knows vocals!! Boy doesn't get a lot of lines (he's the main dancer) but he has such a nice voice and tone.

Stray kids have "MV" for their tittle track, it's on JYP's channel And "Video" for their B side, it's on their Stray Kids' channel

my favourite part of the song is that the cheese they mention are all ones that with age get better. much like skz who as they make more music, get better and more awards as they age. also the references to past songs that haters gave a lot of shit to yet are some of skz’s biggest song

Stray kids are amazing lyricists because like you pointed out the one lyric about why the sad face but also it sounding like pizza which has cheese on it because they mention actual cheeses more than once but also it’s a play on words because of cheese like smile so the why the sad face lyric is also playing on the idea of cheese meaning smile I always love when they get creative with the word play in the lyrics and sometimes it’s difficult to pick up especially if you don’t speak Korean and English which obviously you both do but for non Korean speaking fans I feel like they sometimes miss out on some really good word play or fun references that you only know as a Korean person

Cheese is one my favourites from this album along with Red Light so, I'm really happy to see y'all reacting to it 😊 It's so good. Also, as a Hyunjin stan, I really felt all the 'he's so good looking' comments lmao.

First of all, thank you for putting your reactions as the inset! SKZ kept popping up in my feed across a couple of platforms because of other Asian pop groups I listen to, so I’m a new Stay as of this year and I am obsessed! They were such a different sound, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like them but after listening to them on repeat, I realized I did! I quickly learned everyone’s names after listening to them nonstop for a week or so. I usually listen to all the songs trying not to skip any and see if I can find voices that stand out to me. Then I go for videos to match up the voices with a face. Seungmin’s was the first “vocalist” to stand out to me and Changbin’s “rapping” stood out. I put the words in quotes because these guys go back and forth between rapping and singing so well. Then I discovered what 3racha is and mind blown. How are these three members so talented at writing and producing these songs??? Anyway, CHEESE was my daughter’s favorite performance at their D2 Anaheim concert and it is one of my favorites. It’s hard to play favorites with a SKZ song though. They are all so good in their own way and none seem to be alike! Freeze and Muddy Waters are two I have come to appreciate more once I got past Venom, Maniac, and Charmer on Oddinary.

I like most everything from the new mini album Oddinary, but I'd love your reaction to Muddy Water, a unit song from the rap line (Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix) with a '90's groove. No MV, just a lyrics video. Maniac, Freeze, and Venom are also great. For other work from them, check out All In, Side Effects. Boxer, Double Knot, Domino, District 9, Hellevator. Han and Changbin have solo tracks. Changbin's Cypher, and Han's I Got It are specially good. Chan's solo tracks are more likely to be vocal works. If you are up for slightly less hype songs, try Levanter, and the First Take versions of Scars, Mixtape: OH, and Slump--the First Take are live studio recordings done in Japan, so they are singing in Japanese. The Korean versions of all these are also great.

Alternative title: "Grown men broken by stray kids". (Welcome to the Hotel California Baby Stays.) They should come with a warning label - SKZ should be handled with care and proper preparations must be made before consuming any of their products.
