Musicians React to Dimash Kudaibergen - The Show Must Go On. 

Dimash learned the whole song phonetically as he didn’t speak any English at the time. I agree with the comment that Freddie would have loved it because he had an appreciation of operatic vocals and Dimash’s control is stunning.

This performance of the young Dimash was at the big hard competition show "I'm singer" in China. Only well-known singers perform here and have to give everything over 12 rounds. Dimash was the youngest participant at the time and from abroad. For him, it was the breakthrough and access to the large Chinese market. He was previously only known in a few countries and his homeland. BUT Dimash was not satisfied with his performance. In addition, it must be hard to rehearse this song and hardly be able to speak English until this time.

His English was in its infancy here, but it doesn’t matter, now he sings in 14 different languages

Hello! This contest was held in China in 2017 only for professional singers. Dimash was invited as a wild card. They thought that he was staying only for 2 or 3 songs, (each one between 1 week ineterval), but he stayed until the end. 👏👏He didn´t win (won?) the 1st place (only 2nd) because he is a non-chinese. 🙄The roules changed after that. At that time Dimash didn't know english, so he sang only by phonetics. Impressive! At that show he sang in about 8 languages, 😳in spite that he only speak Khasak and russian. He even sang in mandarin and peole said that no mistake was made... pretty amazing! 😜 Dimash is not a AI, for sure. 🤣🤣I saw him, last month in Budapest in his solo concert "Stranger". People of 55 countries attended that concert,including american. It was an amazing show. 😍I can't wait to see him again live, or in Dusseldorf, or in Prague in November 2024. This was in 2017, the year Dimash began being known to the world; he was 22 that year. It was the Chinese singing contest called "I Am Singer." They invited him as a wildcard, thinking that he wouldn't make it to the 3rd or 4th round. Due to then current laws, a foreigner couldn't win 1st place, no matter what. So, he won 2nd place, for the first time in his life. I did read somewhere that they changed that rule for the following year(s). For what it's worth, Brian May saw/heard this performance later that year and he was blown away. I do believe that Freddie was looking down and giving Dimash a standing-O.

The Singer is such a great TV show, the likes of which we have never seen in the west. Live orchestra, band and backing vocalists, 13 episodes with fun elimination competitions between the professional contestants. The audience has the vote, no judges (or wannabe celebrities pretending to be capable of judging). The following year 2018 Jesse J won ahead of Hua Chenyu who won in 2020. Hua Chenyu is up there on a pedestal with Dimash, totally different artists, both amazing ❤

Thank you for checking out Dimash. This is from 2017. He barely knew any English at the time. He is 30yrs old this year. He IS music. He is the best singer/vocalist on the planet. And yes he models and is gorgeous doing it. He has a vast catalog, sings in 7+ octaves, multiple genres, 14+ languages. He is highly trained throughout his life and continues his training every day and is getting his doctorate soon. You will be astonished, stunned, have goosebumps and tears with every performance and song. His music videos are stellar and of an extremely high quality. He has fans (Dears) all over the world of all ages and lovers of all types of music. One of his last concerts had fans from over 77 countries. He is unmatched. More please!

Dimash said he was not happy with his performance. Brian May was shown this video and commented that he was the best singer he had ever heard. Great review fellas...... I saw this guy live in 2019 - never heard of him, no clue who he was but a friend called & asked if I could get her into the show....... I've seen just about every major & not so major act from America & Europe over the last 40 yrs & I also have seen Many operas so it's not a situation where I just was nit used to an operatic voice - I have Never in my life experienced talent like this Live - the sheer power he possesses moves thru you - his breath control, flexibility, articulation & range are otherworldly & emotionally he gives the audience everything he's got every song....... we are witnessing one of the great musical talents - vocal, composition, production - that the world has ever seen....... I know that is dramatic but when you hear him live you will understand......

This is one of the songs Dimash performed on "Singer 2017." He was invited to perform as a dark horse and was not expected to make it past the 2nd. episode. Dimash was the first foreigner and the youngest and only non-professional singer in the show's history. You might find it interesting to follow through on all of his performances on this show. This was his first time singing in English. He was a 22-year-old Kahzak in China, his first four songs were in French, Russian, English, and Mandarin. With each episode, you can hear how he continually improves. There are cc's for English translations for all the performances. As a matter of fact. most of Dimash's videos have English translations. Dimash won the first two rounds and should have won this one. I guess the producers had to save face. The young guy at the end in the yellow room said Dimash was fierce. I read a comment where someone stated that Brian May, of Queen, said that "Freddy would be proud." Thank you both. I truly enjoy your reactions to Dimash.
