STMLT is basically a group of RU-vidrs that also play music as a band. They post videos literally everyday since their inception 2 years ago. This is their newest formation after the original drummer and keyboardist/growler left the band. They held an audition and got three new members, which is the drummer, the keyboardist, and the second vocalist that does the rap and harsh vocals. Their music is indeed kinda hard to categorize. Their previous songs were more into pop rock or heavy rock with a touch of harsh vocals (and saxophone, which sadly the sax player departed from the band after their 5th song), but this new formation really brings out the heaviness in them, in terms of the sound and the more portion of harsh vocals. Btw, they in fact just released the live version of this song 'Antimental', so if you guys are interested in reacting to it, I just wanna say that they can pull it off pretty much the same as the MV version. Thanks for this reaction, guys!! 🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼
@@frederock1zzz agreed. The fact that they can pull it off live is fantastic. Yukippe nailed the high notes perfectly (except the very end part where her voice shakes a bit).
@@fikryhasan5225 I love the live video, some minor imperfections only make it more authentic. Over all they are still pretty solid in their live shows. And I had the chance to give a second like for this fantastic song 🤩🤘
@@Nachtschicht1I concur wholeheartedly. If we want perfect, just listen to the audio. The live like that with all the imperfectness and differences makes it unique and interesting. Hahaha there should be a button where we can push over and over to give more and more likes.
@Arixhianna_Stmltif you're referring that to me, you're welcome! I love to see more people come to love the band and music that I love, so I'm more than happy to always provide any information that I know whenever it's needed.
I really like this song. There is also a live version. They lost their old drummer and keyboard/screamer. So they started to audition for new members. I couldn't believe how fast they put this together. The names of the members are: Kirara on lead guitar, Akira is on bass, Kanachi is the red headed screamer, Yukippe is the clean vocalist, Hanon on keyboard and Sakitee on drums. For me, the highlight of this song is the soaring clean vocals from Yukippe. Thank you for reacting to this song.
I think the addition of Sakitee has brought success to the band. Her drumming is really powerful. Of course, Kanachi and Hanon are also a big part of the band.
STMLT just dropped a live video their song Twilight. It's a GR8 tune and I think you guys will like it. And I see someone else mentioned they dropped a live video of this song (Antimental) which is GR8 too!!! The energy these ladies have live is insane!!!!
I love it how more and more reactions to STMLT pop up, they really deserve more popularity. I followed them from the beginning a little over two years ago. At first it was unclear what to expect, the are affiliated with some other youtuber/idol groups which I frequently watched for their prank videos and other shenanigans but not so much for their music. They were casted by them with the premise to form a band, so they didn't know each other in the beginning. When their first original song came out I was pleasantly surprised that the went into the rock/metal direction, although a bit tamer in the first songs. Since then they keep growing better. I think it's remarkable that this video came out just a few weeks after 3 new members joined the band. Two members - the drummer (Gomi) and the keyborder (Ayanon) who also did some harsh vocals - left the band at the end of may. The sax-player had to leave about a year ago because of work-related issues. She was very young and maybe not all that serious with her duties, but nothing in special is known about that. Although I miss the former members I have to say that STMLT came out stronger than ever with the new line-up.
I like this new cast for stmlt. It's always sad to see members come and go but that's just the way things turn out sometime. I have a recommendation though, a small korean band named Ivits. They did an amazing cover on one of Utsu-P's song but their original songs are great too. I really like Ria as a vocalist. I haven't come across a whole lot of korean metal bands but they're one I've recently enjoyed.
They play jrock, subgenre: jnu-metal(because they rap, sing and growl into metal beats). Do not confuse with kawaii-metal(they dance coreography into metal sounds). En jnu-metal they play instruments.
You're welcome. ;) Man, every time I replay this, I'm blown away by how good this drummer is. Day-um! I don't really hear the Band-Maid similarity, but definitely some vocal elements of Nemo and Hanabie. (and PassCode). Some more of Hasnabie.'s Harajukucore mix of heavy riffage and electronics (and chaotic genre blending), too. Can't wait for more from these guys.
I think I recommended this band to y’all a couple of months ago with their song EVOL AI, it’s really great also. I was really disappointed when I found out that my favorite member of the band quit, her name is Gominon or most people know her as Gomi-chan and was their drummer, she looks a little like Saiki from Band-Maid. They also lost keyboard player/ growling vocals Ayanon who also quit, I don’t know why they quit but the new replacements sure have made the band heavier. STMLT has many videos that they release at least one a day all in Japanese no English subtitles so I miss what they are saying but the videos are funny and crazy with eating, drinking, and other competitions and taste testing plus competition with a couple of other bands where they play strip volleyball, tackle basketball, just pure funny things like pranks on each other like taking bottles of coke and blindfolding a member and fizzing it up to shoot at their crotch while they stand over it. They blur out any nudity it happens during their videos, they can be ruthless to each other. Check out STMLT- EVOL AI STMLT- Twilight
I have been following this group for a while now. The only thing that bugs me is that every time I learn the members, they change the lineup. Music is always solid, so overall, no complaints 😀 Play them often along with my Dimrays and Hanabie Playlists.
I have to remind you: There is a big difference between Groups and Bands: Groups :dance to the beat of music( Babymetal,PassCode, even Spice Girls,kpop-world)/Bands: they play instruments( Lovebites,Bandmaid,Scandal,STMLT,etc)
Can you also react to our other Brazilian metal singer DAN VASC, who sings from operas to ballads and power heavy metal. He has a classical and contemporary background and a band with one album. It's worth getting to know him.
> Looking for new bands => if you have not listened to the NEW HAGANE (has three new members, including Junna on drums and is fire) => Hagane - Hero Time.
@@HarveyAnk Yes, thank you for the correction. Three left and two joined. These two are great additions for their new direction. I was not much of a fan of the former group, but am sure to follow this new group. I hope they do a tour in the US.
Check out the band Missile Girl Scoot. The song Big Mouth was featured on the Suicidal Tendencies "Friends And Family" album. I definitely think you guys will dig them. They have a much more raw , less polished sound compared to most newer Japanese bands.

I wish they still had the saxophonist - it made them stand out from their peers. This is a very crowded space these days, so maybe having that idol element in their promotion will work in their favour, although all that content is in Japanese. At some point you're gonna have to get past the 'fingers on frets' obsession so many westerners have to dive into some more of the alt-idol groups. So many have punk at their core, mixed with accessible pop melodies.
I was a bit concerned they were a fake band when I found them a year and a half or so ago because all the members had a onlyfans type link excpet the singer. Do younknow how they got together?
I found these facts about them online: "As far as I can tell they are "Indie" in terms of management. They were formed by their producer "Ecchan" Etsuko who is a famous youtuber in Japan. STMLT are RU-vidrs + Girls Band, because Ecchan loves girls band music she did some music herself but decided to produce a band for which she writes and produces songs. As RU-vidrs they do daily videos, usually featuring pranks or drinking/eating competitions. They do a lot of collaborations with RU-vidr + Idol groups Okopure and FR2PON! and together have started their own label "DreamARK Record"."
this band used to have a saxophonist....in this comeback they changed their drummer, keyboardist and add a rapper/growler.....the growl part used to be their old keyboardist job 😁 * i missed their old drummer Gomi-chan 🥲
