One of my favourite if not the favourite. Seems they all playing their own partition and find a way to bring it in something homogenous. That's their magic touch. Drummer is killing it, basssit is killing it, guitar and voice/rap is killing it. Without mentioning the deep meaning of the lyrics. I love these ladies. Suscribed pending you nex reaction. 🧕🧕🧕🤘✊💪
Extremely talented young ladies. I don't really go for the rapping in their music/songs. But she has an eerily almost soothing singing voice when she just sings. Which I like and enjoy.
In terms of harmony, they are highly skilled musical performers, aren't they? Can't wait for your reaction to another epic song of VOB, the "PMS". Thanks a lot Chris and Sam!
Jakarta watching you again dude. This song was composed and released when they were still in high school, grew in remote small mountain village, in traditional Islamic social culture. For most Indonesian they like came from no where. Thank you so much for exposing my fave VOB.
Thank You for AWESOME Reaction, Brothers ... RESPECT !!! The RAP in INDONESIA and others in ENGLISH Sekolah pagi pasti ragaku ini berlari Paksa mimpi yang tak satupun ku mengerti Terlempar kepala dipaksa pintar, terdampar moral digoda bingar Don’t try to judge us now Don’t try to judge us now Don’t try to judge us now Don’t try to judge us now Di balik tembok isi kepala seakan digembok Selaksa dogma ditimpa hingga bongkok Bila teriak merdeka bersiaplah ditabok atau dikatain … and my soul is empty. And my dream was dying My soul fall in the dark side And I lose my life (lose my life) Di sana dijuluki penjara paling indah Tapi tak berikan bukti apa-apa Hanya seabruk aturan yang tak pernah diterapkan Menyisakan sejarah yang telah terlupakan Don’t try to judge us now Don’t try to judge us now Don’t try to judge us now Don’t try to judge us now Banyak orang hanya beradu persepsi Saling tindas dengan alasan visi dan misi Korbankan mimpi yang akhirnya jauh terdampar Terlempar samar dan akhirnya mulai pudar … and my soul is empty. And my dream was dying My soul fall in the dark side And I lose my life (lose my life) Hanya orang fokus yang dapat bertahan Punya mimpi dan berani tuk wujudkan Bisa sukses tanpa harus korbankan prinsip Punya semangat dan pikiran yang positif Don’t try to judge us now Don’t try to judge us now Don’t try to judge us now Don’t try to judge us now … and my soul is empty. And my dream was dying My soul fall in the dark side And I lose my life (lose my life) It was dubbed the most beautiful prison But don't provide any evidence Just a bunch of rules that never apply Leaving history that has been forgotten Don’t try to judge us now Don’t try to judge us now Don’t try to judge us now Don’t try to judge us now Many people just struggle with perceptions Oppress each other on the grounds of vision and mission Sacrifice a dream that is finally stranded Tossed vaguely and finally began to fade And my soul is empty. And my dream was dying My soul fall in the dark side And I lose my life (lose my life) Only focused people can survive Have a dream and dare to make it come true Can be successful without having to sacrifice principles Have a positive spirit and mind Don’t try to judge us now Don’t try to judge us now Don’t try to judge us now Don’t try to judge us now … and my soul is empty. Voice of Baceprot chose "School Revolution" as their milestone in navigating the world of music professionally. This hip metal song has undergone a very significant process. Their output sounds more mature. The weakness of the school system and the injustice that sticks out, is the main theme of this song. Voice of Baceprot does not give speeches in front of the school while protesting against policies that they consider inappropriate. They choose the medium of harmony as a medium for conveying messages that are considered inconsistent with their conscience. "School Revolution" can at least represent the students of knowledge who have voiced their protests. "Our song was recorded through a truly extraordinary process. Cool recording studio. And of course, working with famous musicians. Stephen Santoso [DeadSquad] has turned our song into something that sounds amazing. Honestly, amazed!” said Firdda "Marsya" Kurnia who is also the leader of VoB. According to her, "School Revolution", is a form of criticism to make the education system better and positive. "For us, this song is an expression of our hearts as students about our search for identity at school. We consider that a person who is studying wants to maximize what should be our rights as students and maximize our lifeline through the knowledge we get at educational institutions, "explained the vocalist who idolizes Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine). "We want to give a positive view to many music lovers, that the lifeline of every creature is different. Some are destined to become doctors, teachers, even artists. So, we want to be artists who can have a positive impact on people who previously had negative thoughts. We want music to change for the better. Through music, we want to be fully human, not discriminated against," she concluded. ========================== *_SCHOOL REVOLUTION_* lyrics in Englis Morning school, for sure my body run Forcing dreams not single one I understand Head thrown, forced to be brainy Stranded moral tempted by the frenzy Don′t try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Don′t try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Behind the wall, minds as if being locked Thousands of dogmas are stricken til you're crooked If you shout out "freedom!" get ready to get hit or abused And my soul is empty And my dream was dying My soul fall in the dark side And I lose my life (lose my life) It was dubbed as the most beautiful prison But doesn't provide any evidence Just a bunch of rules with zero implementation Leaving history that's been forgotten Don't try to judge us now Don′t try to judge us now Don′t try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Many people are only pitting perceptions Oppress each other for reasons of vision and mission Sacrifice the dreams that ended up stranded away Thrown to the obscure and eventually starting to fade away And my soul is empty And my dream was dying My soul fall in the dark side And I lose my life (lose my life) Only focused people can survive Who have a dream and dare to make it realized Can succeed without making principles sacrificed Who have the spirits and positive minds Don′t try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Don′t try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now And my soul is empty And my dream was dying My soul fall in the dark side And I lose my life (lose my life)
Give me Lovebites, VOB, and The Warning everyday and life just become so easy, I don't need anything else and a lot of the other stuff is crap to me, these young ladies had to face adversity every day in school from peers, teachers, and leaders and this is the song they wrote about Here are the lyrics School Revolution Morning school is definitely my body running Forced dreams that none of me understand Thrown head forced smart Moral stranded seduced frenetic Don't try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Behind the wall the contents of the head as if padlocked Selaksa dogma overwritten until hunchbacked If you scream for independence, be prepared to be punched or said And my soul is empty And my dream was dying My soul falls in the dark side And I lose my life (lose my life) There dubbed the most beautiful prison But don't provide any proof Just a pile of rules that were never implemented Leaving forgotten history Don't try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Many people just clash perceptions Oppress each other for reasons of vision and mission Sacrifice dreams that are finally far stranded Thrown faintly and eventually began to fade And my soul is empty And my dream was dying My soul falls in the dark side And I lose my life (lose my life) Only focused people can survive Have a dream and dare to make it happen Can be successful without having to sacrifice principles Have a positive spirit and mind Don't try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now And my soul is empty And my dream was dying My soul falls in the dark side And I lose my life (lose my life)
Thank you for your support to talented girls Voice of Baceprot from Indonesia. Fully respect with your open minded opinion and reaction. You're true musician. Because for my opinion Music is Universal language and can unites all across the globe 🌍. A little bit background about School Revolution - the beginning. 3 of VoB members always 'considered' trouble maker in school by the some of teachers. VoB members do not like the Traditional School System , just like robot and force the students to score higher grade in academic. Besides school regulations always only punish student if late arrival at school on time, but if Teachers late coming, nothing punishment given. Not fair according to VoB. Not just that. VoB "stubborn" attitude, wrote a bold critic's on a piece of paper and paste on School bill boards. Until raised "war" among the teachers. VoB always been referred to School Counseling Teacher to get advice. Considering the Counseling Teacher know music well, instead of advice in word's, the counseling teacher guide to write a lyrics of critic's about School Revolution into A Song. The counseling teacher then guide VoB to play music and composed own song with all their unsatisfied expression into composed own song, turn the critic's into lyrics. So the school Revolution lyrics actually they just spit out the bold critic's about School and required for School Revolution. That's all I want to share with you the conclusion about VoB background and original song. It's ok not to study about VoB lyrics, because the lyrics just the VoB personal spit out the critic's social in their mind into lyrics. We For music lover's just enjoy the good music, the nasty guitar riffs, solo bass, magical drum pattern by our genius Miss Sitti - always feeding equal drum pattern to her funky Bassline members, also Fair drum pattern for hip hop singing and support for Rock guitar riffs drum pattern support. The magical drum pattern from Miss Sitti the VoB drummer. Awesome original magic drum pattern from her . Different from usual.
You should check out their live performances. I recommend (based on video quality) Pasiwali 2022, TransMusicales 2021 or Shoebox session. And the drummer often barefooted
Hello again Chris and Sam and thanks for more VOB! Having spent decades in the grassroots DIY punk scene, one of the (many) appealing things to me about VOB is their "punk" aesthetic, their raw/passionate lyrical attacks, some of their clothing style (particularly around the time of this video (2018) and also the jackets with lyrics that they wore in the Not Public Property video), and the graphics in some of their videos, like this one, and the TV messages in God Allow Me, and some of the graphics/editing of Not Public Property. And now they've even started covering a punk song (okay, new wave, when it wasn't a bad word...), Joe Jackson's 1979 classic, Got The Time. Are either of you familiar with Taqwacore from the early 2000's? It was a subgenre of punk, composed mainly of US/Western Muslims who openly rejected traditionalist interpretations of Islam.
not sure if you heard these two bands yet but Asterism Gunfire ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-n6OZRHApn3U.html and Unlucky Morpheus Cadaver/Revadac ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gxN3L2jrrEI.html are two very awesome songs worth the reaction both also out of Japan
