As a former school student council member (who lost head-boy elections with just 3% of total votes), I sympathize with anyone that has to deal with teens on a daily basis.
I apologized to most of my teachers that I gave somewhat of a difficult time. I regret quitting school because it's HELL trying to go back! Especially because certain politicians truly did Not care about education, I gave up too.. I'm just reminded of GHW Bush "No Child Left Behind " act, it's totally NOT what the title displays! Even my teachers then explained it to us students! So the feeling of being "not good enough " for a simple education kicked in full by high-school for me!! What makes it better is the fact that now my money isn't "good enough " for furthering my education, so no more hope there for me.. We must NOT let this happen to more kids! Their education is so precious!!! 👍👍👍👍

This is so brilliant. It's 5.30am here in Scotland where I'm on holiday. My wife is asleep and I'm likely to wake her with my laughing and you Mr Colbert will be responsible for the retribution I will endure for the rest of the day! I've lived in E Anglia for over 30 years and I love it. Though I do recommend coming outside of our school holidays unless you're rich! Same can be said for anywhere, I guess. But you could honestly come to the UK and the Republic of Ireland (despite what people think, we're not all enemies! And it's very beautiful with fantastic people - some of my favourite ever colleagues were from there) for many years and see new things each time. Just be sure to bring your sense of humour and remember that we only tease people we like, so don't take offence if your leg gets pulled. 😅
